Thanks for all your advice and words of support. It was all very straight-forward and the Magistrates and other Court Officials were all very genial. She got four points and a £70 fine, plus £30 Police costs.

ah well, at least its all over with now, and hopefully she'll have learned something from it. Hope she's not getting too hard a time of it.

make sure she informs her insurance company, as if she does not and has a claim they may turn it down due to non disclosure. Probably mean an extra payment

Ah not too bad, but as Obi says make sure DD discloses it to her insurance company as otherwise could be commiting fraud, can't recall the new term as the law changed recently regarding fraud/pecuniary advantage etc!
