Hello

We are driving to Florida in March with our 8 month old twins and 6 year old son.

We have a mini van but of course with buggys and pack and plays and luggage we are going to be quite full.

I have been thinking about where we are going to put the twins when we are in the hotel room?

We have a large 2 bedroom at Old Key West for our stay however at home I have 2 swings, an exersaucer, jolly jumper and 2 boucy chairs not to mention a blanket on the floor for them to roll around.

At the hotel, all I will have is the pack and plays.

Anyone with advice with little ones on what you have done in the hotel to keep them entertained.
Thanks

Wow, I feel your "pain"...Our twins are 4 now, and while we didn't do Disney when they were that young, we did do other hotels. We took a clean blanket from home, with small toys, and they played on the floor. The change in environment was fun for them, and I don't know that they "missed" their exersaucers...

By the way, do you need to take your Pack & Plays from home? DVC rooms have one in them (maybe two for a two-bedroom, depending on layout?). Plus, I'm sure if you only had one when you got there, you could request a second....Or, are they in bad shape? We've only stayed once since joining (used our points for a cruise, tho), and haven't needed the P&P's. Of course, that will change since I'm expecting (a singleton this time). Just trying to help you cut down on the amount you're loading into the minivan :)

Have fun!

Hi there :wave2: I have twins also so I understand the challenge of trying to keep them both safe and happily occupied. There is a company that rents baby stuff. They'll deliver and pick up. I'm sorry I don't know the name but somebody else will come along and tell you, I'm sure. You might be able to rent just a swing and a saucer. This might really help.

Just a thought... if you can use the pack and plays at the hotel, then you would have room for one exersaucer in the van. Also, the johnny jump-up is small and easy to pack. Maybe between the 2, and with a blanket and toys, they will be fine. You may be spending enough time out of the room that they won't need much, anyway.

There are two pack and plays in a 2-bedroom . . . at least there were at Saratoga Springs, and I would think it would be the same at OKW.

I would think the jolly jumpers would not take up much room to pack, and in a 2BR you'd have space enough to put them.

I second bringing a blanket from home and some toys. The 2BR's at OKW are HUGE, there will be plenty of spots to put the blanket.

When my twins were 8 months, they were big into baths and playing in the tub . . . . maybe if you brought some toys that you could use both in the water and on the blanket?

I don't know the name of that place that rents the baby equipment either, hopefully someone will reply with the info.

I havent stayed at Disney with little ones but have traveled to other hotels and it is important to bring some baby proofing items. For me the outlet plugs are the most critical, plus they are cheap so I just leave them behind - although I alway think of the look on the housekeepers face when she can't plug in the vaccum without prying out my outlet plug first. Also maybe some cord ties, the velcro ones or even some long twist ties (did you save any from all those holiday gifts LOL) to get cords up and away from the babies.

HTH!
