I took the advice on this board and ordered a pair of Croc Caymans. I have wide feet size 8 1/2 (double E's) so I ordered size 8 as I was told they were sized large. I have a 8 1/2 Etonic walking shoe that is loose on me. And I swim in my size 9 Berks.

The length on the Crocs seem fine though my toes do seem to butt near the top a little, though nothing uncomfortable. The fit on the left foot is perfect, but the right foot is just a smidge tight across the wide part of the band. Will it loosen up a little with use? If so these will be great and I will be joing the Croc bandwagon. I cannot remember when a shoe felt so good the first time I put them on that I didn't swim in. :thumbsup2

Like other people on this board I put mine in a warm dryer for about 5 minutes. Then put them on, stood in one spot and moved my foot around in each direction with the strap around the back. This stretched the strap just enough so that my toes weren't pushed to the end, and stretched the area around the top of my foot just a bit too. Now they are perfect!! I read from someone not to walk around in them too much when they're hot as the treads can smush down. The dryer makes them quite warm and they are stretchy/soft for 3 or 4 minutes.

I bought a pair of Payless Airwalks (size 9) and they fit fine, but my toes did bump the front. I'd read on here about the dryer thing so thought I'd try it. I put them in for 10 minutes. That was too long. I don't think they were "big" enough that 10 minutes shrunk them "small" enough= came out too small in other words. I did put them on with socks and wore them around. They stretched back pretty well but could be bigger. I wore them the next 4 days when visiting Dad in Fla and were very comfy!! But Im actually thinking of going back and getting a size 10 and then doing the dryer thing, for less than 10 minutes. So be careful!

Just a thought about the dryer:
I just bought Crocs at Nordstrom for DS, then I went back and bought a pair for myself. SHH! :ssst: DH will have a cow if he finds out I bought MORE shoes. So mine are still in the trunk of my car.

I asked the sales associate about putting them in the dryer (or the oven, as someone else posted) and she said she would NOT recommend that!

The last time we had the dryer serviced the guy said it heats to 212 degrees. The person who put her Crocs in the oven inly had it set at about 130. Beware of the setting on the dryer if you try this!

Thank you everyone for your responses. I guess I will just wear them around the house for the next few days to stretch them out. :scratchin Hopefully they will be stretched enough by MARCH 2 :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

You may want to switch to the "Beach" model. The "Caymans" are a narrower version of the "Beach" style. I have a pair of "Beach" crocs for my Average/Wide foot and they are perfect.

I finally ordered my pink ones, Beach models, but I am so worried because they are size Larges, size10-11. I wear an 11 - anyone else feel like this will actually fit an 11 foot? My foot is not narrow or wide, just an 11.
