Advice needed for planning with 2 & 4 yr old boys

I am planning on a 4 days land/3 days cruise Disney trip in January 2006(one of the dates we were looking at was 15-22nd Jan). Would it be better if I purchased a package for this or would it be better if I shopped for better deals seperately(flights - cruise - hotel - disney tickets etc etc). I am looking to stay at a resort in WDW which is on the monorail map. This would be needed since we are taking our 2 boys ages 2 & 4.

Any suggestions ?? Thanks for all your help/advice !!
