Advice Needed For Grand Gathering

I've been trying for weeks to register our party of 10 for grand gatherings. First the GG Dept said they could do it but my TA would have to register us. Then our TA said no they can't as it's for the USA guests only. I them emailed GG Dept who said no it's USA only, everyone can register but the TA needs to do it. My TA then said yes they can, but have never done this before. That was weeks ago and I've been chasing for the GG Ref as it's now less than 180 days before travel and we would like to book some of the events. My TA agents has said they've been chasing but GG are not giving them the ref no. I've just emailed GG Dept and received a reply that says as I've not booked through a wholesale travel agent they can't register us. Does anyone know what they mean by "wholesale"? sorry to hear of your trouble with this. It does sound strange. I booked two events today but as we are DVC members I just phoned DVC up and asked for a number and they phoned back with it after about an hour.

I was about an hour on the phone as their system had difficulty with UK addresses but she managed in the end so it means that you can definately do with a UK address.

Susan, Thanks for your reply. I'm so frustrated. They are now saying because I've booked through an wholesale TA I can't register. I've just emailed wdw customer service as I've had such conflicting advide. I'm so glad you've booked with now probs, it's nice to go back and do something different. Maria
