In the past we have always hit Fantasyland first thing the the morning before the lines got too bad. Now that my children are getting older, and Dumbo is no longer a priority for them, I was thinking we would try to do BTMRR and Splash between 9-11am. We have FP+ for A&E and 7DMT from 10:30 to 12:30. Will I need to use my third FP+ for BTMRR or Splash that early in the morning, or will we be able to walk on both of those? Would it be possible to ride both of them twice in two hours or is that wishful thinking? I was hoping to use our third FP+ for PP. Or should I stick to our usual routine of Fantasyland for the first two hours? We are going the second week of August.

We'll be there about the same week as you. I would try to hit those first thing in the morning if they are priority attractions for your family. I also prefer to keep a FP+ for Peter Pan, as the whole family can ride that, as opposed to just some of us.

I am trying the first-thing in the am strategy for BTMRR but have FP+ for Splash. Here's to good luck for both of us!

If you like to mix things up a bit, the lines are even shorter later in the evening.

Twice each in two hours seems reasonable in the morning, but my bunch recently got through Splash 3 times plus 4 times on Big Thunder in just over 1 hour during a non-EMH evening. The longest wait was getting off the Spash boats.

I think it's very doable. On my last trip these didn't start getting busy until about 2 hours after RD. Remember though that Splash is a long ride so you might hit BTMRR first.

We were there in the middle of June during a pretty busy week. We arrived at rope drop but were not at the front of the line. We walked straight back to Splash Mountain and rode it one time, followed by BTMR twice back to back. All three rides were essentially walk ons and I think we could have done Splash Mountain again with just a very short wait. Most lines didn't seem to build until 10:00-10:30. Unless you just happen to have a lot of people who head to those rides on that particular day, I think you should easily be able to ride both twice in 2 hours.:)

We often do those rides first thing (back in the FP- days we usually sent a runner for Space Mountain FP's) and then did these a few times first thing. FP+ is even better since we don't have to send the runner! Worked great and we could get multiple rides with minimal waits. It really doesn't get busy back there until after 10 and even then isn't too bad until after 11. They usually post a 20 minute wait no matter what but its usually almost a walk on.

You'll be fine. BTMRR first thing you'll walk on. Ride again w/ 10 min wait. Splash will have a 25 min wait after that, and then another riding of Splash at around 10am you could wait 30-40 min but you'll easily be done by 11.

You don't mean one FP+ for the family there do you?

We've got FP+s for 10:15 (7DMT), 11:15 (Buzz Spin) and 12:15 (SpaceM). I was also hoping to get to Splash and Space at rope drop and do them a couple of times each too. Do Splash queues increase quicker so it may be best to do that twice first? Or at least Splash, BTMRR, Splash, BTMRR? I don;t have anything booked for Peter Pan (don't even know what it is lol) but should I just see if I can FP+ it after SpaceM?

LOL just typed out reply then realized what you meant. Oh no, 1FP+ for each member of our family. But you make me dream of more FP+ per person! ;) We've got a lot of 2/3 people going on this, 2/3 people going on that (due to wimpy DH and a 1 year old) - I wanted a few attractions where we actually rode together. Imagine that!

I am so glad I knew about FP from the beginning of the system so only have to figure out FP+. I can't imagine how confusing it is to those that are new to the entire process and dealing with FP+!

If you are going on a recommended day, you'll have no problem riding them both at least once first thing in the morning. We were there the first week of July and at rope drop, walked to the Adventureland entrance and took the cut-through to Frontierland by Country Bears. CMs were walking people back to Splash and BTMRR, but guests were allowed to disperse once they got over the bridges by Splash. There were maybe 20 people aside from our party at that point. DH rode BTMRR by himself while I stayed with DS4 in the play area by Splash, then I rode Splash once he was done. We walked right on both rides, then went to HM, Tom Sawyer Island for about half an hour, then used our FPs for Peter Pan at 11:00.

If you go straight there at rope drop you should have no problems hitting both with little to no wait.
