Hi Everyone,

I need a bit of planning advice from all of you people that go to WDW during busy times (we usually go during the 4th of July but skip the park on that day). My dilemma is we are bringing my DD11 best friend and she has been once before but doesn’t remember much. So I am trying to plan well enough to be able to show this child most everything without exhausting everyone. I have already had them list must do’s/ can skip lists. I also intend on making the most of EE mornings and then changing parks. Also, plan on using FP as much as humanly possible!

Here are the Stats…

We will be in Orlando April 13th pm (so this day is a bust!) Spending the next 2 days @ HRH and touring IOA/US. I’m assuming that I might be able to accomplish these parks entirely because of FotL access.

On the 16th we move over to CSR and the original plan was to go to BB that day, but after looking at the park hours, they are longer on the 16th & 17th (also have 2 showings of Fantasmic) so now I am thinking I should spend time in the parks on these days to maximize time.

On the 18th we move over to OKW and was thinking maybe doing BB on this day instead. We will be there until the 21st early am? I read somewhere that one poster said the parks should be thinning by the 18th.

Any Opinions from all of you Pro’s that usually are there at these times (school vacations /spring breaks).

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi ho..

yeah, I'd maximize my time in the parks..
Having the parks open real late is when
we've been able to do a lot in a very short
time.
We go every year for NYE, so's we're down
there the BUSIEST week of the year. Our
usual plan is to get ourselves out early and
go to about lunchtime. Then head back to
the hotel, eat/swim/relax until early evening..
then head back to the parks. We get a lot
done before 12 noon... our usual trick is to
go on something popular, after getting a FP for
something else popular (coasters, Pooh, etc)
Also, to rememember -Epcot's garden festival
starts the 16th, so's Epcot is probably going
to be a zoo starting then... I wonder, though
how the rides will be if lots of guests are
doing the "garden thing"...

Well. we'll see how busy it is -we're heading down on the 9th of April until the
16th!

have fun!

John

If part of your concern is time/efficiency, why are you changing resorts? Forgive me if that's a bad question, maybe it doesn't take up much time from your day?

No problem! The HRH was a free stay (I won it) then the rest of the time was supposed to be spent at CSR until I realized that I could save us some $$$ by using our DVC points to stay at OKW.... At the same time not wanting to use 36 per night on weekend nights... Ouch...

Also, it really doesn't take that much time to check in and usually DH does the check in for us as we head to the park. He likes being relieved from the rush and gives him some "ME" time.

I on the other hand like to run around the parks like a first-timer. Great Question though

Thanks for your responses!

Ohohoh,,,, when you move from CSR to OKW
use the "luggage fairies"... you can have the
bell staff move your luggage from one resort
to another -they've got a special tag for this.
usually gets there before 3pm... works great!
we've done it a couple of times recently...

John....
