Advice for which weekend.

Hi Everybody,

I have 2 possible travel dates and am looking for some advice. The first dates would be Oct 27 to Nov 1. The second dates are Nov 3 to Nov 8. I am leaning towards the second dates because I beleive the crowds will be lower, but I'm worried about ride closures for holiday overlay removal. Any comments would be appreciated.

We went this past year Nov 2-6. The hours were shorter (10-8 at DL midweek), but the crowds were minimal due to being the week between the Halloween festivities and the Christmas kickoff. We hardly used Fastpass, and were able to do a number of the more popular rides with less than 15 minute waits. We even walked right onto POTC twice in a row. The weather was wonderful as well.

Regarding holidays....it was interesting, as the Halloween decor was slowly coming down at the same time the Christmas decor was slowly being introduced. Everyday there were changes. But that said....it was impossible to actually feel "immersed" in either holiday.

As far as holiday ride closures....Haunted Mansion Holiday will be up and running either time you choose, as it runs during both Halloween & Christmas. Space Mtn was only closed for one day to remove the Ghost Galaxy overlay. The Christmas overlay for IASW takes weeks to prepare, so you will likely be missing it at either time as well.

thank you for your reply I think I will go with the later dates. I have 2 boys so IASW is not a big draw, although the last time we were there, it was down for it's refurb, so we have never actually been on it. I am also including a weekend so we can hopefully catch WOC and the fireworks.
