Hi With the weather forecast being rain much of next week has anyone please got any tips of which rides are best for young children (5 and 3 years old) when it is raining or for when queuing in rain? What can we see or do if it is pouring down??! Many thanks for any advice Gill

we had a couple of wet days when we were there recently and we just wore poncho's. We avoided Dumbo and other rides which were a bit exposed and spent a lot of time on the teacups, IASW, Peter Pan, POTC etc and popped in and out the shops just to avoid the showers. Hopefully it won't be too wet for you

I would also watch the you tube video (found in the useful info sticky at the top) of how to get around the park using the covered walkways. We too will be there next week and even in the rain we know we will have fun. A lot of the rides and attractions are inside anyway so it will be OK, plus I guess we just need to pack the waterproofs!!

I'm there next week, hoping it's gonna be just the odd shower rather then downpours.

Yep we are there too next week, i'm really hoping the weather wont be soooo bad :sad2: but living in Pembrokeshire we are used to it!!!!!! and it never stops us going out.

can you buy the poncho's over there.

you can, you can buy adult and child sizes although I don't remember how much they cost. I got back a week ago and they had raincoats on offer aswell.

I was quite surprised by the amount of people using umbrellas !

They also have lots of fab and funky hats and ear muffs available to buy too !

Thanks very much for your advice. Can't believe we are off tomorrow!!!!! :cool1: At least the kids have gone to sleep - finally :o)

Agree about the rides in Fantasyland, most are under cover but if there is a queue for them - some you will have to queue in the rain - thinking of teacups and even Peter Pan if the queue is long...

We only had one dry day out of 4 but it didn't spoil it for us - we took at 3.5 year old and 5 month old. We all just had waterproofs we took (pac a mac type of Regatta ones as they lightweight, fold really small, good and windproof too!). We took waterproof trousers too - just in case! We never needed ours but DD1 (3.5 year DD) did wear hers one day and she didn't complain and was nice and warm and dry :) We were so pleased we had them. I have to say the ponchos look OK but don't seem windproof (or that fitting really) and if it's wet and windy it can seem quite cold so I prefer our 'proper' stuff but at the end of the day they are a failsafe if needed I guess.

Hope you don't have too much rain :)

can you buy the poncho's over there.

Asda sell the ponchos for £1 each - usually round the till area or near where they have the travel stuff like adaptors and money belts. Buy them there and save on having to pay more in the park.
