Hi,

I have a few questions for our trip next week. We have 2 girls (4 and 6). This is not our first trip, but I still have some questions! We are staying 2 nights and will have park hoppers. Thank you!!!

EMH at CA: For our EMH at CA, should we ride RSR first and then TS? This is the first year our kids will be able to ride RSR and last year TS was down. What are the wait times like for RSR if we go straight their first thing? We usually do our early morning at CA and then go over to Disneyland about an hour or hour and half later to take advantage of the relative quiet over there. So we don't want to end up with Fps for too much later in the day. We will be doing this on our last day, so if we haven't gotten in the other days, our priorities in CA are: RSR, TSMM, Meet Cars, Ana and Elsa, Maybe Olaf, and Ride the new Luigi ride (we are hoping to have already done some of these the days before).

Apps: Last year we only used Mousewait. I downloaded the Disneyland app a few weeks ago, but the times between the two are not always consistent. Which is the better one?

Princesses: Also, neither of the apps have been updating wait times for Princess Fantasy Faire. What are the wait times like these days? Is it terrible in the middle of the day around 1ish? What are the wait times like for Ana and Elsa? The first day we arrive we were hoping to meet some princesses, but it will probably be midday between 11:30 and 1.

Are they still dong Fast Passes for the Royal Theater Shows? Which one is first? Do the Princesses meet after their shows as they used to?

Fast Passes: I want to confirm that you can no longer hold a RSR FP and get one for a ride at Disneyland at the same time?

I can speak to a couple things. No specific insight about the princess stuff. Sorry!

We love Toy Story Mania, & because no FP is available for it preferred on our early entry mornings to hit that first and ride it several times with no wait. Then, just before official park opening time, one of us could go to RSR to get FPs (I like to be the runner; my DH would stay with the kids & do some ride with them, like Tow Mater) so we get an early FP return time for that. It worked really well. We would then remain at DCA til at least the FP return time & then hop over to DL.

I have not heard anything about RSR FPs being connected to the FPs at DL. I hope there isn't a crazy new policy like that! We often held FPs across parks & loved doing so.

Have a wonderful trip!

I love the Disneyland App, it is so easy to use to gather all kinds of information. I found that the wait times reported matched the wait times listed on the 'old fashioned' boards inside the parks. I think it's the best Disney can do, and I assume those red time cards that sometimes get handed to guests as they enter the line are their way to gauge wait times. Mousewait has user reported wait times, and because I don't know how often they are updated, I'm less likely to trust that app. Not that Disney isn't occasionally way off, I know I waited forever in a '10 minute' line for Casey Jr...

I also like browsing menus on the app, and it makes it super easy to find characters and restrooms.

I believe no FP is needed now that the Royal Theater has returned to showing Beauty and the Beast and Tangled rather than Frozen.

I have seen waits hovering around 35 minutes for Fantasy Faire, which isn't terrible because you do get to meet three princesses in total. There is also usually another princess meeting outside of the theatre. I have seen Jasmine meeting off and on in Adventureland by Aladdin's Oasis. Snow White and Aurora are common around the castle and wishing well. I usually see Cinderella and Ariel meeting at the park entrance, and I have also seen Belle and Snow White there as well. Anna and Elsa are only in the Animation building in DCA and there is no FP required, just a good sized line. It seems like they never close off the line, so I think you wait during their breaks and it just looks like a long slow line. At least it's air conditioned!

You can still hold FP'S in both parks simultaneously. Definitely use that trick to hold onto a FP for a night time ride on RSR! Carsland has great atmosphere at night, and if you time it right and hang out around dusk you can catch the mini show where they light up the neon and play the sh-boom song just like in the movie! It's so fun, especially if you watch the movie before your trip. They recreate it so well and it is a very sweet moment.

Maybe get a snack to share while you wait at the Cozy Cone? I loved the churro with caramel dipping sauce. Can't wait to get another when we arrive in 12 short days!

Have fun planning!

Behind the RSR fast pass distribution is a Bugs Land theater. Great little 15 minute show and super air conditioning on a hot day.

Thanks for the tips! Do you know how long in advance you need to line up for the Royal Theater? Thanks!

You can see in the mouse wait app the last time an entry was made. This helps with gauging if it's likely to be accurate by the time you get over there.
