Just a quick word of warning for anyone booking fly-drive holidays with Virgin Holidays/Dollar.

As you may know, one of the nice features that this gives you is an extra 2-hour window in which to return the car - particularly useful if you've taken advantage of the Downtown Disney check-in. If you pick up the car at 4pm then you have until 6pm to return it on your last day.

Anyway, on our recent trip we took advantage of this, getting back to MCO with about 30 mins to spare. Unfortunately I was so careful to note they didn't charge me for fuel that I missed the extra two hours on the receipt ($22) until I was sat on the plane :(

Once we were back I sent Dollar customer services an email and they have rnow efunded more than double the amount I was overcharged and offered a free upgrade on our next holiday to regain our confidence (their phrase, not mine). Nice!

I don't know whether this is a frequent thing for Virgin Holiday customers, but if anyone here finds themselves in a similar situation it might be worth checking your receipt (or alternatively let it go, complain later, and maybe make some money :D)
