Advice for the HoJo

Ent. Rate starts at 59.

Disboards rate 15% off rack rate.

AP holder rate 20% off rack rate.

vs

AAA:: 10% discount off of our room rates.

AARP:: 10% discount off of our room rates.

Senior Discount:: 10% discount off of our room rates.

Government Employee:: 10% discount off of our room rates.

Military Personnel:: 10% discount off of our room rates.

CSEA:: 15% discount off of our room rates.

I didn't know there was a 20% AP discount. Is that just PAP or DLX or which?

Let me ask a question about the Ent Card. Do they scan it, or just ask to look at it? What do they actually do with the imfamous card?

I have stayed there 9 times in the past 5 years and not once have they asked to see my card. I hear about them checking them, but for whatever reason have never been asked.

Either one.

Thanks

I have one I just wondered what they did with it. Probably just check the date. There isn't a bar code or anything to swipe

do you know if the 15% disney fan rate is on suits too were seriously gona try the kids room

You get a discount for being on the Disboards???:cool1:

To be thorough...it's the same with the other disney fan message boards as well, and the mousesavers discount is the same. They're kind of across the board on that one. They like Disney fans!

Just found this for certain, possibly already booked up, dates:

The regular Disney Fan discounts have gone from 15 to 20% & AP has gone from 20 to 25% for the following dates::

Jan 4th – Feb 4th 20% & 25%

The AP rate includes all of them, even the So Cal APs, as far as I know.

On their discussion boards I just found this:

**We are also implementing a new Disneyland Annual Passholder (AP) discount in the Main St. Market! You just need to show your valid Disneyland AP to receive a 10% discount on their purchases (beer and wine excluded).**

From Howard Johnson's Entertainment Page:

"$99 per night + tax for a Kids Suite with one king bed, twin bunk beds and a pull-out sleeper [SNK2]" This is at the entertainment rate.

"If the dates that you are looking to stay with us are not listed, you are still entitled to a 15% discount off the best available rate for the room type you are booking. Just give our In-House Reservations a call at 714-776-6120! We'd love to help you book your stay with us!"

I just booked the king suite with the bunk beds and two bathrooms for my family for the 3rd week in July (my twin sons birthday week) and I'm thrilled I got a great rate. I was going to go with my AAA discount, but I called the hotel directly and spoke to Kimberly in reservations who couldn't have been nicer. At her advice, I ended up using the Mousesavers discount which was cheaper. I got a great room at a affordable price and they won't charge my card until check in. I'm really looking forward to seeing Disneyland and have been wanting to do this for a long time. I have done my resarch on the hotels around the DL area for quite sometime and the HOJO just fits my all needs. My wife and I aren't going to tell my boys until the day of the trip and she's just as excited as I am.

Keep watching the HoJo Ent. Rate boards. DH and I went to DLR last July for his birthday and I kept checking the Ent. Rates and got them for ALL of our days - Thurs. thru Sunday. I didn't get the rate for Thurs until about 2 or 3 days before our trip - so it pays to keep checking. I originally had the AP rate and just kept calling the hotel to change each date that came available at the Ent. Rate.

We love surprising our boys with trips to DLR. We'll wake them up with the "Do you want to go to Disneyland today?" question. They love it.

i thought the entertainment rate for other rooms was 50% off but the suites were 15%
also it was 15% off for the disney fans right? so if they dont have entreatment dates I should be able to get 15% off for the disney fan sites?

(99 a night? or higher? i planed it at 100 a night +tax)

Jade - you can get 50% off on the new Kid's Pirate Suite. It has the King bed in one room and the bunk bed in the other. With the Ent. card it's $99 a night plus tax (which is 15%). I think it's really reasonable for the size. You can check the page here for the suite - it's at the bottom.

yes i just called 156 for the 15% off no ent rate . so I have to wait till ent rate comes available to make the booking. an we may make it for mid dec. We might be able to see the electrical parade if its still running?

The kids suite at the ent. rate is $99.00 per night plus 15% hotel tax. Like I had stated in my previous post. If you are not able to book this rate, then the 15% discount can be applied to the kids suite.

Just an FYI as I know this has been a topic for discussion: we are at Hojo's right now and am sooooooo happy to say that the beds even in the 2 story pavillion building ( we're in 4) are BRAND NEW as on the label says date of manufacture Dec. 16 2009!! They are the plush simmons pillow top and hubby who takes SERIOUS med for his back says it's the best sleep he's ever had! Me too... Wrote the name down because we are getting the same kind when we get home... Either that or tie a bed from here to roof of the car and pray it does not rain on the way home...LOL! :lmao:We are sooo happy we chose hojo's and without a doubt will be back again and again. Kimberly and Lorealle are the sweetest ladies on the planet and hojo's is lucky to have them!
It is raining today, never been in California in the rain in my lifetime of trvelling here! Thepark is still crazy busy though!

Thanks for your onsite update and I'm glad to hear that the HOJO is living up to it's reputation. If my upcomming trip in July goes well, I may start a annual tradition of going to DL instead of WDW, at least for a while anyway.;)

You might lose the room if you don't book it. Book it now. They don't charge you now. Just book it, and check the Entertainment Date list post on hojoanaheim.com's forum, and if that date comes up, call the In House number during Pacific Time business hours/days, and switch it over. This is important to you...you should book it so you don't lose it.

We are looking at going to DLR in October of this year...should I book now? Will it fill up? Also, is it best to book online or over the phone? And then I can just cal back if I'm able to get the ET rate right? We have an ET card and everything, but it seems that October is too far out for them to have dates for it yet, right? Does October typically have ET dates? I know that is no guarantee, but just for my own curiosity?

thanks so much,
Lou

Either one.
If you look at my signature, you can see how many times we've stayed there and we were never asked for the Ent card in any of those stays until our last stay in September. Crazy huh? Anyway, we always make sure to bring it just in case, and thank goodness we had it to show. I bought mine off ebay for $5. :lmao:

Book now and keep checking for Ent rate. Call and change the rate when/if it becomes available.

I always have our card too, I figure that one time I don't have it -- of course they will ask for it!!

This is very tempting - lookoing out for Entertainment rates for July - will keep watching this space. When I check prices though now - it only gives me availablity for rooms with 2 queens - surely the suites can't be booked up already or is it because we are a party of only 3 - two adults and a teen girl?- we would have liked a suite to give our teen more 'space'.

Also would the bunk beds or sofa bed be suitable for my teen - she's actually bigger than me - around 5ft 7in!!! or or these rooms better suited to those with little kids?
