I have decided to bring about 200 pins to trade in DTD this trip. When is the best time to find traders hanging around the pin shop? Also, how do I know what most people think is a good trade? Is it by LE or numbers trading/wanting or price? Also, if the pin is not on it's black card, is it worth bringing and trying to trade or do most people want them on their card? I took them off when I first started collecting and then realized I shouldn't. Thanks. Debby

To answer some of your questions:

What is a good trade is very subjective. You can research your pins on pinpics.com. Look at how many people want the pin compared to how many people have to trade the pin. If more traders want the pin then compared to how many traders have the pin, then it is a more desirable pin.

I personally just trade for what I like and consider it a good trade. Worrying about the "value" of a pin can drive a person crazy so most traders will just advise go with what you like.

Most traders also do not worry if the pin is on the black backer card or not. Most traders do take their pins of the black cards (saves room). The only time the card backer is important is if it a special backer card. Like for example the Piece of History Pins have special backer cards. I don't trade for a Piece of History unless it comes on the original card because the card has info about the pin printed on it.

I don't know the best time to find pin traders. I have seen them out everytime so I assume there are usually always some traders there.

Hope this helps, Jenny
