We are planning a 2 night Orlando stay before our Florida road trip. We have the first night at SS, and I'm interested in finding a cheap place maybe near DS for our 2nd night. We are looking for a clean resort with comfy beds, and a great pool with slide/lazy river other fun for teen boy. A free breakfast would be ideal. We aren't doing any parks this trip, just want to enjoy the pool and sun while in Orlando, maybe DS too. We will be picking up a rental car on the am we check out of SS so will have that and not need to rely on a bus. Thanks in advance!

How much do you want to pay per night?

What is SS?

I’d like to keep it under $125. We are going mid-August. Thanks

I think it might be difficult to find a great pool/slide/lazy river under $125 ... especially with breakfast ... close to DS.

What is the exact night you are looking for? ... (rates can vary highly night to night, weekday to weekend) ... folks can see what they can fine tune as close to that or know of some great discount offers.

Also have you considered ... we have done this .... looked for a true value in our hotel room .. maybe closer to $80 then plan to spend the day at one of the waterparks followed by evening at DS?

I thought it might be a long shot...
We actually don’t need to be right at DS, but are looking for pool time and with a slide my boy will stay busy. There’s only so much wading around my teen will do.
I did check the water parks but with the three of us, it adds up!
We are checking into Saratoga Springs August 14th, and would like to stay at the pool as long as possible on the 15th. Then we are trying for a night someplace close by for the 15th. We will head out of the area the 16th, driving a few hours west to the nature coast to visit family.
Trying for a budget trip this time. The main goal is to visit family but we are squeezing in a little Disney time too.
Thanks for the help. We always stay onsite so I am clueless.

Okay. The plus of you staying at SS is that you can actually stay there all day at the pools even after you check out. Are you planning pool time also on the 16th?

Go to Mousesavers ...
Then go to Walt Disney World Preferred Resorts ...
Scroll down and open Caribe Royale ...
Putting in your date you will find -
- King Suite (2 rooms, sofabed in living room) for $92
- 2 Queen Bed Suite for $100
Hotel has $25 Resort Fee and $10 Parking Fee but total it comes right around your budget.

They are nice suites, it is not far from Disney Springs, the pool is very nice with waterfall and slide and hot tubs. Breakfast not included but there are restaurants on property and some restaurants not far by car.

Here is the pool and video ...

To add a lazy river you will be going up at least $50 a night.

I think so, but now you have me wondering?!
14th~ Arrival~SS
We will have time for a nice dinner, maybe mini-golf, watch fireworks...

15th~ Stay at pool all day, hopefully head to nearby hotel to shower, maybe DS at night if we are close.

16th~ Stay at pool for the morning if its decent, head out to travel when we need to leave hotel. My son cannot be in the bad heat, but is fine in the pool. Its a good option for us, and when we leave Orlando we will be at beaches. He LOVES pools, we live at a beach in NE so warm weather and pools are a treat for us all. He cannot walk around in the heat of the day so we will drive during the afternoon.
If we aren't able to find a decent place, weighing pool vs breakfast value, we could stay at a value hotel, but of course, no slides there and not very much shade ( at least where I could see) which makes it tricky to not overheat.
We could always leave earlier for travel, but are trying to maximize our Orlando time.

Wow! Thanks so much for your help! Just seeing this after I posted :) The lazy river was for me the lazy mama, so we'd be okay without that.
