My DS who will be 16 when we cruise in Feb 2005 is looking for words of wisdom from other teens who have cruised on the magic. If you have some teens who have done this he's posted on the teen board. I think he's mostly concerned about meeting attractive young ladies, but also not participating in anything that's not "cool,"

Thanks in advance for your and your kid's help.

Hi dgaston,

DD (15), DH & I just returned from our trip on the Magic. DD met quite a few people on the teen boards. We had a DIS meet when we boarded and she met 3 girls that she hung out with the whole trip, along with a large group of 15 - 18 year olds. They spent some time in the Stack, but mostly hung out on deck 9 or 10. They had a great time together and she made lasting frienships. Right now she's in camp, but I'm sure she'd love to give your DS some tips when she gets home.

Thanks, I know Dan will appreciate it. He will be off to camp himself soon and returns 8/14.

Hi Debbie!!!

My name is Chris I'm 20 years old now, but my first Disney Cruise was back when I was 16, very much like your son. I have been able to participate in just about every activity onboard because at first I did all the teen things, now I'm over 18 so I do all of the adult things. I've been on 6 cruises to date, and we are going back this August. As for your son just make sure that he knows about all of the teen activities onboard. He can meet a lot of new people just by going to the first night activities. He should get a teen program itinerary and then just go with that. They have them at guest services or in the teen room which used to be common grounds, but is now on the 11th deck where the ESPN bar used to be. From there he will have the option to particpate in group events or just meet new people and do his own things.
Dont worry there's loads for him to do and loads of people to meet!! Enjoy your cruise!!

Thanks for the helpful tips. I know I'm going to have a great time. Sometimes it's harder being the youngest kid without your now adult brother and sister along to break the ice!
