Advice for my new job...

I am just about to leave for my first day in my new job as a teaching assistant at a local school. I was in my last job for 11 years so this is a very strange experience.

As my DD (6) was leaving for school she gave me this useful piece of advice...

"Now you are at school you can only go to the toilet 3 times a day, morning playtime, lunch time and afternoon playtime, so even if you don't think you need to go it may be worth having a try"

Enjoy your first day as an Lsa, the job is so rewarding! I have done it for 5 years in a school for autistic children, but sadly now am looking for another job.

If you are going to be working in a primary school my advice is find out which children can tie their shoe laces, when a childs asks you to do it send them to a child than can because when little boys go to the loo they often miss and guess where it goes...!
