Advice for Mickey's BBQ

Hi All,
I'm a long time reader to the DIS, but only a few time poster! I need some advice for my upcoming dining decision. Every year that hubby and I have visited WWD we've done the Hoop Dee Doo. We really enjoy it. Well, this year we have the pleasure of spending our vacation with a new addition, our son, who will be one in August (the time of the trip!) We originally booked Hoop for this trip, but, upon reading about the BBQ with Mickey, thought twice. We decided, I think, to change the Hoop reservations for the BBQ. Are we making a good choice? I think the character presence and atmosphere will suit a 1 year old a little better. Please, some advice, comments, or expierences at the BBQ would be greatly appreciated.

Hoop Dee Doo is a safe bet for good entertainment but, really, with a 1 year old I really don't think there's enough of a difference to change your reservation. He/She won't remember either anyways and I think you shouldn't sacrifice your own entertainment b/c you're worried the BBQ might be more appropriate for your infant. Keep the HDD and everyone will have a great time!

Another thing to consider is that Mickeys Bar B-Q will be out side and in August that means hot weather and maybe a thunderstorm. The Hoop De Do will be inside with A/C

Well, I can't give an opinion on HDD because we have never been there. But, I can tell you that Mickey's BBQ is one of my kids favorite meals. We first tried it when my youngest was 18 months and she has had a blast every year since then!! We have gone in April and August and were not bothered too much by the heat in August. We are going back again this August. I do offer HDD every trip, but my kids always choose the BBQ.
