Advice for getting grandparents to come.

So my husband and I would love for his grandparents to go with us at least once. The problem is that she has pets that are her children and she would never leave them. She never goes anywhere because she does not want to leave her dogs alone for a long time. What does everyone recommend? I hate for her to never experience disney. (BTW, she is very picky about people taking care of her pets)

Would she let another family member watch the animals? We all have animals and I really do hate to take them to the kennels so we try and have a family member watch them. Good Luck!

Lots of off property rental houses will allow dogs. You may have to come back mid-day to let them out, but maybe you could talk her into coming if the "babies" can come with her!

Thats a great idea! Do you have any recommendations. Also, how will that work with the dining plan? My husband and I are staying in a 1 bedroom DVC villa, if we say they are staying with us, can they purchase the dining plan too?

I know a friend of mine brought their three dogs, but it was a huge house. Like 6 bedrooms or something. You might try posting on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board. I'm sure someone over there would have a good recommendation.

As far as the dining plan, you should be able to just add them onto your villa (assuming they wouldn't put you over the room limit). Then they would be eligible for the dining plan. There is no charge for additional adults if you are staying on points, so you should be good to go there. Where they actually sleep would be irrelevant.
