Actually, my name is Sara. It's a long, VMK story.

My friend and her husband are taking their 20-month-old on Thursday. She is also several months pregnant. They live in Anaheim and are considering getting AP's if they enjoy it. I don't know if he has ever been, but I think she has only been once (with me, about 7 years ago - we did a single day in Disneyland as part of a girl's trip). She asked me to write up a guide for her. I am covering which rides she and the little guy can go on, rider switch, fastpass, the Baby Centers, etc. I don't think they'll stay late, but if their little guy is doing well, it's possible. What else should I touch on? Where should they park? Can they apply their purchase price towards an AP if they decide they like it, or not anymore? Any current issues I should tell them to be aware of?

Rides: Disneyland.com lists which rides have the expectant mother warning. I would avoid those to be safe. You can also filter the attraction list by height warnings, so you can see which rides DS cannot ride.

Fastpass: The two parks are disconnected. This means having a FP for a ride in DCA does not impact your ability to get one for DL. Within each park, all of the FP rides are connected (except WoC, which remains disconnected). You can get a FP when the window opens on your next FP or two hours later, whichever comes first, so plan accordingly.

Baby Centers: Each park has a baby center. In DCA, it's near Ghiradelli's and in DL isn't at the end of Main Street near the Plaza Inn. It's a great resource for people with very young children. There are changing tables, high chairs, etc. There is also a training toilet in case they are potty-training their 20-month old.

Ticket Upgrades: Yes, most tickets can be upgraded (not all, so be sure to read the fine print). You'll get credited for the amount you paid for the ticket (in most cases) and that can be applied towards an upgrade. The upgrade must occur while the ticket is still valid (i.e., on or before the last day the ticket is used to enter a park).

Parking: There is the Mickey & Friends structure and the Toy Story lot. I have no strong feelings about using either. You take a tram to and from the Mickey & Friends lot and a bus to and from the Toy Story lot.
