Advice for crowd "disliker" going on a Friday

We were at DL last year on a Saturday in the off-season and we just about died when we saw the crowds. We are from a small town/rural area and DL can be a little overwhelming for us when it's crowded. Our first day will be a Wednesday(seeing WOC) and Thursday in the parks, finishing with a Friday(watching fireworks from IASW area).

While we are perfectly aware that you can't control the crowds(or rudeness), how would suggest that we "cope" with Friday afternoon/evening? The two things we've thought of are: collect FP's to use in the evening, and to save no-wait attractions for late in the day, any other advice?
:)

And yes, we realize that if we don't like crowds we shouldn't be going on a Friday. But it was completely unavoidable on this trip.

fast passes would be your best option if you dont like standing in lines, its going to be what it will be though. have fun!

The key is to remember that there is no off-season on any Saturday throughout the year. Fridays might be a little better, but likely not in the evening.

I think you have the right idea, start out your FP planning in the AM Friday and keep it up, you should be okay if you do. Good luck and have fun regardless!

Have ideas to "pocket" in case things get too overwhelming! Go back to the hotel for a break. Stroll around downtown Disney. Visit some of the less popular non-ride attractions. Grab a snack and sit by the water or head out to Tom Sawyer Island. (Is that still what it is called?) I would have several things on a list in your head, that way if things get to crazy, you're not wasting time figuring out what you're going to do to escape it, but you've already got something in mind!

Have fun!!!:goodvibes

We always go early as we can to get things done, collect FP's for the evening, take mid day breaks and the girls like to shopMove to another area of the park which might be less busy, take in AA or Alladdin. Relax and have fun.
Where do you hail from in the Northwest, we live in the Tri-City area.

Oh, BTW, the Bug's Life show in a bugsland is ADORABLE. I had no idea it was even there. We were there in September, it was crowded and unbelieveably hot. We stumbled upon this show and it was nice and chilly in there and there was NOBODY in there. Might be a nice place to take a break. I sat and fed my babe!! :) Just another idea...

Central Oregon. And it's another sunny day in the High Desert. :)

Very good idea.
Muppet Vision 3-D is another attraction with plenty of seats to go around. :3dglasses
