my husband (not a fan of attraction parks :confused3 ), but we are doing this for our twin boys who will be close to 7 :) :) . We unfortunately have to go during the very busy time of the American spring break in April  . We are staying at the Polyanesian for 7 nights . Plan on doing MK twice, Epciot twice (think my husband will like this), Animal and Hollywood once. My boys are not the biggest dare devils when it comes to rides, but consider themselves to be ulta cool :cool2: :cool2: . However, I think they will still absolutely LOVE the characters :yay: :yay: . I just want to give them the time of their little lives and want to make sure I have everything covered :surfweb: . I hope to plan dinners (basic dinning package) at (can't make ADRs right now bc disney world system is updating):
cheft mickeys
coral reef
fantasmic package (mama mias)
hoop de doo
crystal palace
ohana
one more at Epicot (either garden grill, Teppan Edo or Biergarten).

As far as attractions go, I would love advice as what you would consider priorities in the parks. I would really appreciate ANY advice you have to offer as I can see that many of you are experts!! :worship: Thanks so much in advance for any advice.....anxious mommy. :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun trip coming up. For my 2 young boys, here are a few things that they loved..
- DHS is great for boys, they loved Star Tours and Jedi Academy, loved the Indy show. See the power rangers, cars, incredibles, buzz/woody. Lights/Motor show is good. TSM is good for boys too.
- Epcot - try soarin, test track, nemo ride
- AK - my boys loved safari, lion king show, playing in boneyard, games at arcade, triceratops spin. Didnt care much for Nemo show

If you are early risers, make sure to go to early EMH and be at rope drop. We plan 8am ADRs at character breakfasts before the parks open at 9am (H&V before HS, CP before MK, Donald's Safari Bfast before DHS.)

My boys wanted to play in the pool a lot, so make sure to plan time for resting/swimming. have a great trip!!

The best advice I have is take a couple hours off in the middle of each day to give your child some down time or else they will wear out real fast after a few days of non stop going

Hey if you show up 15-20 mins early at Jedi academy and get a spot up front, you will have a great chance to get your boys on stage. Just got back 10/9-13 They picked 25 kids I think so if you are up front you have a good shot. Its cute my 6 year old boy love it. The Lion King Show is a cant miss its great. My boy liked the Mk the best ,peter pan, log ride. If they are fearless let the go on mission space in epcot. It is pretty intense but my son liked it alot, but he's fearless. The star wars ride is fun not scary so it's a good one. All the shows are worth seeing, they are the best. Have fun. Remember it gets hot in April.

Hi

If your kids like the water, you may want to consider the water parks, but definately time for the pool!!

At the MK, the Buzz Lightyear spin was one that they seem to want to do over and over!!!

The arcade at the hotel may also be a fun thing to do, and then Lego Land and maybe the new TRex restaurant at downtown disney?

Tom Sawyers island in the MK is also very fun to run around on!!!

Have a Magical trip!

We are also going in April.
Even w/ the system updating you can make ADR for Chef MIckeys and Cinderella's Castle...the rest we have to wait until November.

You're going to have a great time and the Polynesian is a great resort. You may want to try to ride at the front of the monorail - it only holds four but is a neat experience. Ask the attendant at the gate.

There's a great "sticky" at the top of the Disney Dining Plan section of the dining forum on this board - it's an unofficial list of things you can get using your dining plan snack credits. It's really helpful.

Here's a good article on Epcot with kids: http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com/article-epcot-with-young-children.html

We went first week of April this year to avoid spring break and it was crowded, hot and humid, still we had so much fun. Best advice is to plan for getting up early and be at park as soon as it opens, use Fast Pass for major attractions. I do admit it was hard to be on vacation and had to wake up to an alarm when it felt way too early but it was so worth it, you could take a break mid day and head back to enjoy the pool.
My DS8 is a thrill seeker and DD5 is not, we saved a lot of time the last day bu splitting in the morning and husband and son went do their thing at AK which was Expedition Everest (the day before the ride was closed due to storms) and DD and I went to visit Ariel, Princesses and do the kiddie rides at MK.
Favorites at MK are
POTC
Haunted mansion
BMTR ( too intense for daughter )
Mickey's Philarmagic
Jungle cruise
Indy race
Aladdin carpet ride

Epcot
Nemo and Turtle talk
Test track
Mission Space (easy version)
Soarin

DHS
Star Tours
Indiana jones and Lights, Motor Action (good stunt shows)
ToT (husband and son's favorites)

AK
It's tough to be a bug
Kilimanjaro Safari
Dinosaur (with ear plugs only)
Bird show was so much fun
Everest (daughter and I are too chicken for this one)

It is too hard to do it all but ask the kids and makes a list of their "must do's" and get those out of the way as early as possible.
