Hey all, I will be about 15 weeks pregnant at the start of our trip. Has anyone gone under similar conditions?

Would you have any advice regarding what's safe and what I should avoid?

I already know things like Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster, but what about rides like Splash Mountain and Big Thunder? Are the more mild roller coasters ok?

Congratulations :cloud9: I think you will be fine on the milder coaster rides but to make sure, you may want to ask your DR.

Extra fluids are a must! I'm not sure I would recommend even milder coasters, but your doctor would know best. I did Disney in '90 the day after finding out I was pregnant with my 2nd son, and in '93 while about 20 weeks with my 3rd son. That was very interesting when I was trying to stand up to get out of the boat at IASW while carrying a toddler and wearing a backpack; I think I amused the CMs!

Congratulations! It's so much fun to go and say, "When the baby comes here, we'll do ____."

I went at about 18 weeks. I didn't ride even the milder coasters, and I skipped the Tea Cups. I was a little more tired than the first trip, but I rested midday and drank lots of water!

Have a great time!

I went when I was about 10 weeks prego with DS. I stayed away from pretty much all of the "big kid" rides--I did do Splash Mtn.--but I didn't enjoy it b/c I was worried the whole time! I did do the Safari even though there is a warning for prego women; b/c of the bumpiness--I didn't think it was any worse than riding down a dirt/gravel road! But just do what you're comfortable with and most impt. take care of yourself and that new little one! Definitely drink lots of H2O and take frequent breaks. And congrats! :goodvibes

A few years agao I found out I was pregnant the week of our trip, Happy about the new addition but sad :guilty: because I was not going to be able do try out test track that had just opened. I did not risk any ride that stated do not ride if your pregnant. I knew there would be future trips to ride the "biggies" I still had a wonderful time and rode many rides.

I was about 5 weeks pg. when I went in June 2004. I was never so sick in my entire life, so I hope you passed that stage. I would rest whenever you feel tired and drink lots and lots of fluids.
Enjoy your trip! Our little guy made his "second" WDW trip last summer at 6 mo. and loved it. I can't wait until our July trip!

I have been while pregnant several times. One tip for you. Memorize where the bathrooms are on the map. I know where there is one in every part of every part now.

Thanks for the input all.

When I asked my doctor, she was fairly vague. She pointed out ToT, but then followed up by saying that the rides will have advice for pregnant guests.

I will probably enjoy the shops or people watching when DH and DS want to ride the faster attractions. I love everything about Disney, so I'm sure I can have just as much fun staying off the rides as going on them.

Thanks again all. :goodvibes

I went at 5 months and 7 months. Now this was my 4th pregnancy and I never had complications with any of them so I went on a few coasters at 5 months. I went on BTMR and was fine but then went on the Winnie the Pooh ride and was nauseous. Go figure! Definitely learn all the bathrooms and drink plenty of water. I also went on kilimanjaro safaris but I sat in the front, it was a little less bumpy.

Have fun!!!
