I know I'm not a DISbride but this is the only wedding forum I'm familiar with so I hope you all can give me some advice.
My best friend has decided on making her sister her MOH which is totally fine by me, though we agreed I would be in charge of putting together her bridal shower. I am very excited and have called and looked into a variety of spas and brunch locations for our group. I am paying for a spa outing for she and I and brunch for the rest of the group.
Here's where I'm running into a problem though, it's been pulling teeth to get ahold of the bride. I call her and email her often with no returns of either. I have asked her four times now for a date for the party as well as the address of a few of her friends. She has yet to respond. Keep in mind the wedding is in April and we're running out of time to have a bridal shower/bachelorette party.
I am aware that planning a wedding is stressful but I'm at a standstill at the moment on what to do. Should I get her mother involved since she's planning a majority of the wedding anyhow? Should I set the date myself for the party? I am getting quite frustrated and wondering if I should have signed up for this in the first place.
Thank you ladies so much in advance for any assistance. Help a DISbridesmaid in need!
