Advice for a bridesmaid?

I know I'm not a DISbride but this is the only wedding forum I'm familiar with so I hope you all can give me some advice.

My best friend has decided on making her sister her MOH which is totally fine by me, though we agreed I would be in charge of putting together her bridal shower. I am very excited and have called and looked into a variety of spas and brunch locations for our group. I am paying for a spa outing for she and I and brunch for the rest of the group.

Here's where I'm running into a problem though, it's been pulling teeth to get ahold of the bride. I call her and email her often with no returns of either. I have asked her four times now for a date for the party as well as the address of a few of her friends. She has yet to respond. Keep in mind the wedding is in April and we're running out of time to have a bridal shower/bachelorette party.

I am aware that planning a wedding is stressful but I'm at a standstill at the moment on what to do. Should I get her mother involved since she's planning a majority of the wedding anyhow? Should I set the date myself for the party? I am getting quite frustrated and wondering if I should have signed up for this in the first place.

Thank you ladies so much in advance for any assistance. Help a DISbridesmaid in need! :goodvibes

I'm a very impatient person and want to tell you to just set the date yourself! However, you and I both know that will not work out. Perhaps contacting the MOB might get her to push the bride to answer your e-mails. Or maybe contact the MOH. Perhaps she is keeping closer contact with the MOH. Whatever you end up doing good luck! I am so worried about being a difficult bride for my BMs!! Doesn't help that one of them has been a BM ten times or so. Help keep me in check!!

Yeah I would get in touch with the MOH and the MOB!!!! They should know how her schedule is and they should be willing to help you out anyway!!

LOL usually it's the other way around with the Bride trying to get in touch with the Bridesmaids lol.
