Look at Port Orleans Fr Quarter for 1/12 to 1/16 (4 nights). 3 adults, 1 teen. AAA Rate is $116 per night standard view. Total with tax/fees per night is $147.38.

I did ask about code ZCK to get the passes added. I asked for 3 days for the four of us and the price jumped up to a total of $1627.81 plus tax. $1164 additional just seemed a bit steep to me. DD & I have 5 days left on non expiring hoppers from last January and DS & his DGF would probably only hit the park maybe two days?? So I am thinking I would be a lot better off to just invest in their 2 day hoppers for that price difference.

Any opinions? I did try to drop down to a value but they were out of AAA rates and it was $94 per night. I thought that the extra $22 per night for the bigger room, hairdryer, fridge? etc was worth the investment. Any thoughts on that?

I'm afraid this is my first sojourn into a 'real' Disney resort. I am a Swan Dolphin princess and we thought maybe something different would be o.k. So ANY thoughts positive or negative would be welcome. Thanks!!!

We have AAA reservations at Port Orleans Riverside for 1/25 - 2/3 at a rate of $130.50/night (including tax). We are going to by the 10 day passes online and out total package is $2495. If we use the code for the upgraded passes (there is also a discount on the room) the package is $2142.

I think the room discount for the package is around $22/night while the AAA discount is $33/night.

The big difference is in the ticket prices; base tickets for us (5) are $1150.20 and $1565.65 with parkhopper + waterparks.

I would check to see what tickets are in the price. I think you have to have everyone on the same number of days tickets (cant have two people on 2 days and others on 4 days as an example) in order to do the package.

Looks like your best bet is to stay on AAA room discount and purchase your tickets independently. I would look into mousesavers.com, they recommend a ticket broker who offers discounts to subscribers to the mousesavers newsletter.

Another thing is with the package you have to make full payment 45 days out, with the room only you can pay on arrival. Dont know if this makes a difference.

Hope this helps.

FYI, you can go the the website and check the rates with the codes yourself to check your quote.

I have CSR booked for 7 nights in Jan thru AAA. The new code rate did not save me any money. It was actually the same.

We're staying at the French Qtr. 21-27 in building 5. (Considered a "water" room....it's just in front of the pool). Anyway we're paying with tax $180 (+/-) per night. OUCH!

Take the rate and go with it I guess. Does anyone know what tax charges are? I thought it seemed high going from 116 to 147 with the taxes but who knows. DD & I have 5 days left on our passes (bought non-exp last year). DS is being reminded that he had the option to get longer passes last year and insisted on only 2 day passes for himself & his DGF. He will not be allowed to live that faux pas down!!
