I am having a hard time trying to decide on a good time for our CRT rezzie. I definitely want breakfast or lunch, but DD seems set on trying to meet Rapunzel again -- last meeting she was in awe and beyond nervous.

I assume that an 8:05 CRT rezzie will have us done after 9am rope drop and miss getting into the M&G line. But I'm also nervous about making a rezzie for anytime before noon due to the potential of missing the first two Rapunzel 'shows'

Any experience/advice from CRT and Rapunzel people would be greatly appreciated! Also, if I'm totally over analyzing this, I'll take that info, too!
I would really only like to deal with MK opening once during our stay - we're shooting for an evening visit later in our trip.

One question... where is this Meet and Greet with Rapunzel? At a restaurant? We will be there in April and my 5 yr. old niece would love to see Rapunzel!

PP Rapunzel meet/ greet is in the Fairytale garden area that used to be Belle's Storytime. If you're not familar with what I"m talking about basically stand in front of the castle and take the path over the bridge that is directly to the right of the castle after you get over the bridge Cosmic Rays will be to your right and the Rapunzel meet / greet will be just to your left. It's between Cosmic Rays and the Wishing Well.

OP we've done the "Rapunzel Run" many times at the 9 am opening and frequently folks who were dining at CRT beat us there (dh walks but moves quickly!). Trick is IMO to pay ASAP - seriously as soon as you sit down ask for your bill (when the waitress takes your drink order) - then pay it so you are ready to get up and go as soon as the Princesses have rotated through (and you're done eating). If you have 2 adults have one move it out there and get in line - the rest of you can join him/ her a few minutes later. Much easier to get one person thru the crowd and in line then move as a group.

Glad I'm not the only one considering this! DH and I are Disney vets so I'm thinking he could get up and go even before the end of meal if need be... I just wasn't sure if this was possible. He said he doesn't mind - honestly, he'll probably be glad to escape the Princess craziness. I was considering doing DD's birthday celebration with this meal but I think I'd rather try the Rapunzel dash and put the birthday with something less time AHHHHH!

Since CRT asks for a credit card guarantee now, will that take care of paying there?

and that's a mighty big if, you can get an 8:05 ADR at CRT, you should be able to get in line for Rapunzel. CRT meals move along pretty quickly.

CRT is fully prepaid at booking, unless you are on the dining plan, in which case you can get a credit card guarantee. Nothing there has changed.

We had an 8:05 at CRT and finished, then sat down by the rope that enters Fantasyland waiting for the park to open. We had no idea of what to do and then I thought of the Rapunzel meetngreet so we decided to try for that. As soon as the rope dropped, we walked FAST to the area... my son ran the last 20 feet or so and we were in the first group let in to meet her. I'm not aware of any type of "show" though...

I'm not too worried -- we're looking at a Monday and the week/weekend before we go has varous 8:05 and a ton of 8:10 at CRT, so I'm thinking it's likely I can make it happen.

DH said he is ready to sprint from the castle if need be -- anything to avoid a crazy wait.

I guess they've stopped the 'show' from when we went last May. They used to only let X-many people in an hour and there was coloring and a song and dance and then Rapunzel came out. I waited 2 hours last time for it (just made the cut-off for our group). That's why I'm hoping going to CRT will help with the wait next summer
