We are traveling to WDW in early December. While I would LOVE to do the Candlelight Processional at Epcot w/ a Dinner Package, my travel adviser doesn't think it's a good fit for kids. Our girls are 3 & 6. Am thinking if my 6 year old can sit through a Broadway musical and ask to see another, she should be good to go. But, perhaps our 3 yr. old wouldn't be interested. We would try for one of the earlier showings. And, we would come from a rest period at our hotel. Kids have experience w/ shows, movies, etc., but obviously the 3 yr. old doesn't have much.

Any advice from those of you with experience?

We did this when my DD was 2 and she did just fine. She was very good and seemed to really enjoy it.

It diepends on your kids and their attention span. If they like beautiful music, they should be fine.

My kids are used to Church every Sunday and holidays so this to them is a piece of cake.

It's beautiful and we love it. We're doing it December 2 but my girls are now almost 6 and 9.

We took our 5-year old son with us last Christmas and he ended up falling asleep in my arms shortly after it began...it was a beautiful night with amazing music, and I just liked the chance to cradle my ever-growing son like I did when he was a baby.

We saw it last year and to be truthful it was the most miserable time we had there. My boys were 18 months and 6 years and they were so bored. We will skip it this year!! You can try it. If they can't sit thru it you can get up and leave.

Well, we took our little guy last year when he was 20 months old and he LOVED it. I know that's not quite the same as a three year old, though. He really honestly enjoyed it very much. He loves live music, though - always has. He was just in awe. I don't think he made a peep the whole time. We made sure to sit on the end of a row, in case we had to make an escape, but we never did. I wanted to make sure that we weren't stuck there disrupting a lovely experience for everyone else, but he ended up being totally enthralled.

By the way, we also took him to Cirque Du Soleil on that same trip, and he REALLY loved that! He didn't take his eyes off the stage the entire show.

We did this without DSs when they were just 7 and almost 4. The almost 4yo was the type of kids who couldn't sit still. I think on 1 previous trip, he didnt make it through1 full show of anything without DH having to take him out, LOL! They both did fine for CP. No, they werent thrilled by it and it wasn't the highlight of the trip for them, but they sat and watched it. I think it's interesting enough to keep kids attention for at least a little while. I'd give it a shot and leave if you have to.
Good Luck!

We did this when my dd was 3 and 5 and she did great. When she was 3 she fell asleep. When she was 5 she just sat and sang along quietly.

I went and saw Jim Caviezel (sp?) last year with a friend. It was great, moving, beautiful and . . . I got really bored after a while. I know . . . that's horrible. My DS (6) would never make it. ;)

It only lasts about 45 minutes, so I think it is ok for most kids, there is beautiful music and it really is wonderful.
