there is a great website www.allears.net it shows you all the menus for disney. it also will let you know if their is any attractions closed for refurbishment.

We went to Akershus RBH last year fior DDs 8th birthday, and we all had a good time, and it was a nice birthday treat. That said, it felt a bit rushed and I thought it was expensive for what it was. The prices have increased since then, and now include a photo, which before was optional.
I'd probably go there again for a smiliar celebration, but not for a 'normal' meal.

San Angel Inn is a must-do for us every trip. We love mexican food, and although some reviews don't rate the food, we have never been disappointed. The main thing with this restaurant is the fantastic nighttime outdoor setting with the volcano and boats floating by.

We enjoyed Raglan Road last May. The portions were large, we had pate for apps & dh took some for breakfast, i had shepherds pie, dh had lemon sole & ds then 9 had fish & chips. All were very good & we could only manage to eat about half. I had bread & butter pudding, which was divine but could only eat a little. We also had some bread & guinness dip at the start of the meal. We had DDP & have it free this year, it does'nt include apps now so will have more room for pudding.

As a PP said check out the menus on allears it really helps, also read the reviews on the dining boards here :thumbsup2

Akerhsus royal banquet hall We did Breakfast last year and my DD's loved it, especially seeing the Princesses, the food was standard breakfast stuff with some meats and cheeses too. I've heard that the lunch and dinner menu is very Norwegian!!!

mama melrose (not been since 2004) i think Again went in August, we got the fantasmic package we thought the food was nice!

Tony's (not been since 2004) i think Haven't been but read lots of bad reviews

cap n jack Again haven't been but just read 2 great reviews, can get lobster on the DDP there!

raglan road (what are the portions like)

wolfgang puck

big river grille brewing works

hoop dee doo muscial review (been to backyard bbq, is the seating the same concept here, and what type of food) Went in August and my girls said it was the best restaurant we went too, they loved the show! The food was fried chicken, ribs, basic food :thumbsup2 And there are 3 levels of seating, we were in the worst category but still had a great view :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed Raglan Road - Portions were good

Also Big River Grill was amazing, the portions were huge we will definitely be going back as the food was delicious.

Of those you mention, we've eaten at Mama Melrose, Tony's, Raglan Road, Wolfgang Puck's, Big River Grille and Brewing Works and San Angel Inn.

Whenever we've eaten at Mama Melrose, we've always been pleasantly surprised - perhaps because it doesn't often get the best reviews. I tend to stick with the pizzas.

We only went to Tony's once. Enough said! Of the two, Mama Melrose is much better although neither of them serve the best Italian food you'll ever eat.

Raglan Road is good, but expensive. The portion sizes vary depending on what you choose. We've been five times, but more due to circumstances rather than because we absolutely love it. I was very disappointed with the shepherd's pie which I found extremely bland (and the portion is fairly small if that's an issue for you). One time dh had bangers and mash and they were lovely - very gamey (almost like ******s in texture and taste). We were there most recently in January and we sat at the bar and ordered a selection of appetisers between our party of four. They were all good. The bread and butter pudding is one of those rare things which does actually live up to the hype. Raglan Road is a very large space and I enjoy it more once it starts to fill up - it can seem a bit vacuous and lacking in atmosphere earlier in the day. The live entertainment starts at 9pm. It does get very noisy.

It's a long time since we ate at Wolfgang Puck's. We used to love it there and thus did it to death. It's got a diverse menu, so it's good for large parties - something for everyone. At one time it wasn't possible to make ADRs, so there were always queues and people hovering around outside with pagers. I'm not sure whether or not it's less busy these days.

I don't remember much about BRG&BW except that we sat outside and drank the beer sampler! :rotfl:

We tried the San Angel Inn for the first time last August. It had never appealed before. I think maybe because I've seen pictures of the food and it all looks like a bit of a mess on the plate - more like a fast food offering. I don't know whether it was because my expectations were low, but I really enjoyed it.

AllEars is a great trip planning resource, but we also have a fantastic Dining Database here on the DIS. Bear in mind that both rely on updates from members and so can often be out of date. Most WDW restaurants have a fair few staples, but other menu items do change.

My choices so far are

in order of eating, we have some traditions on where eat on last day.

Liberty Tree Tavern
Akerhus royal banquet hall??????
Resort dinning as we are discovery cove for the day
Resort dinning/Planet Hollywood debating whether to go to Busch Gardens
Cape May Cafe
Spoodles
San Angel
Garden Grill
Big River Grille Brewing Works??????
Mama Melrose
Cindrella Royal Table
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey

the ones in blue i have never been to before

????? denotes could be tweaked, as not enough days to have all my restuarants
Le Cellier could bump one of them. :)
Decisions decisions.

Akerhsus royal banquet hall - went for lunch last August and thought the food was fantastic, great cold buffet followed by hot main and dessert platter, very good service, princesses a little rushed but overall one i would repeat, genuinely loved the atmosphere and feel

mama melrose - enjoy this every time, have been 3 times so far. Great value on the fantasmic package and its the same menu as regular. Again good service although have had to wait a little while for food before, large portions of food, relaxed new york italian atmosphere, plenty to look at for children, will definately be back

raglan road (what are the portions like) - ok portions can seem small to other american restaurants but they are perfectly normal for us brits, and very very tasty. Yes they have entertainment but honestly my kids wouldn't have been able to stay up to watch it as it starts about 9pm, but what i have seen of it is top rate, good irish music, brilliant dancer. Have tried a few things here now and there is nothing i haven't liked. And the food is very child friendly, try the chocolate martini!

wolfgang puck- tried a couple of times, service isn't consistent, food seems a little overpriced but is still very good. Nice modern decor, contemporary feel to it yet still welcoming to children. A nice compromise for a "nice" dinner that kids can join you at.

hoop dee doo muscial review - don't go for the food! Seemed greasy, didn't like some of the flavours and its paced to the show, as in when its dessert time then its dessert time, forget if you want more. The show is wild west us corny, with some traditional us songs you might not know, but if you like cheesey loud entertainment, which my kids were totally into and could whoop right along with it, then i think everybody should go once. And once was enough for me lol

san angel -hmmm, now i don't know if we went on a bad night but this did not sit right with us, specifically our tummies. It is dark and you will need the table lamp to read the menu but what a pretty place to eat. i love mexican food that i eat in uk but this isn't the same. The meat is deliberately overcooked as thats how they would have it there, rice is spicy, the tortilla soup was wonderful, nachos and salsa are like doritos and shop bought salsa, and its so expensive. Service wasn't very attentive. I just think that after trying the counter service outside that i enjoyed that far more, so next time i'll wander round the pavillion to get the atmosphere and then get my platter from outside.
