Advice about Disney Visa Card

we have been debating moving from the basic to premier. Is it really worth it?
It depends. If you go to Disney every year, then maybe. I had the premiere for one year, but just downgraded to the basic. We are not going to Disney next year, so it's not worth the annual fee for me. I have other cc's that give better rewards and I save those points for flights, vacations, etc.

I definitely think it is worth it. I am a DL AP holder (so I am always earning/spending), and I make between $20-40 back in rewards a month, with no interest fees. Right now there is a promo for 4% rewards when you pay your utilities with the card until 8.31.17. The promo just started 6 days ago, and I have already earned about $45 in rewards!!

I think it's worth it as well for the rewards--we go to Disney only once every two years, but we save up enough points that we can usually buy tickets or food for "free." Before we had kids, we used to use a bunch of points to eat a meal at Victoria and Albert's, which was always amazing! I try to keep an eye on the promotions they have (post right above mine mentions one) and since it is our main (and only) credit card, we tend to pile on the points!

How do you learn about or qualify for these promos? Do they happen automatically, or do you have to sign up for them? I have had a Disney VISA since the program started, but I never hear anything about promos or extra rewards!

I like having the Disney VISA because it means my rewards are "ear"marked for Disney. I know me, I know how we spend. If I had a general cash-back card, I'd never save the money for anything special; it'd just go in the bank account and be used for every-day expenses. We have a pile of SW rapid rewards points AND a companion pass, so I'm not worried about flight miles (at the moment). Right now, the Disney VISA works for me because it means I have money stashed away specifically to reduce the cost of our Disney trips (which we take about every 2 years now, but in the past we were annual visitors, or even more frequently. There was one year where we went 3 times!)

Highly considering getting a Disney Visa Card. I have heard the perks are not tremendous but I like the idea of having the card because I am going to Disney hilton head resort over the summer and then a WDW trip
Next year. I buy Disney merchandise. I want to be more involved in Disney

What are some real world, common perks I can use the card for in these situations?

Thanks!!!
If you're going to get it definitely get the premier. You have to pay an annual fee but you get more money back. For my family this is worth it. I love having the extra money to pay off my trip with.
