Just checked my email and I'm amazed to find that I will also be moving on to the 2nd round.

I made it to the second round last year and feel like the odds aren't in my favor to make it again...but who knows!

Congratulations to those of you who have made it...I remember that awesome feeling from last year and I know you will knock it out of the park! Keep us updated!!

Thanks for missing me!

I spent some time caring for my parents. They are doing great right now!

I also went and stayed with a friend whose husband was dying of cancer. They had two young children and it was very difficult for her to care for him 24/7 and give any kind of attention to their young children. He was a smoker and ended up with neck and throat cancer. It killed him about a week after I left. It was heart breaking on so many levels!

Those kids saw things that children should never have to see. It was just emotionally draining to experience it all but I was so glad that I was able to be there to lend some support.

I do find myself so much more vocal now when I see young parents smoking. Every one figures that it will not happen to them. That is certainly not the truth!

So for now I am back but alas no entry for me this year but I am excited in spirit for all of you!

I am busy planning a December 2008 family reunion at Disney! Oh my goodness what a job it is! Someone kick me if I ever offer to do something like this again!

didn't think I stood a chance being from the UK.

Actually I think someone from the UK would be a perfect addition to the Moms Panel. We get a lot of questions from UK visitors and your unique perspective would be a great addition (airline customs, long holidays, etc.)

With that said, I do not have any "insider" info if WDW is looking to fill spots with people from certain areas. Just my own thoughts.

Well, I saw on The Mouse for Less that two girls on there had made it, so I ran right over to this thread!

Congrats to all of you that made the 2nd round!

It is SO depressing NOT making the 2nd round (again), but you girls are right--our true joy comes from Disney itself.

I had someone come up to me at Church on Sunday and pull me aside. I thought they need to "talk," but it turns out they are going to Disney and want me to sit down with them and answer a lot of their questions.

So...I guess you don't have to be officially recognized by Disney to be an "unofficial" Disney Moms Panel member!

I love Disney, and when I say "love," I mean "love!" I was so hoping to make the panel this year, especially when I already spend so much time answering so many people's questions!

It would have been nice to have the thing you love so much acknowledge your love and passion for it, but I guess we just have to go on being unofficial ambassadors for another year!

If the wave isn't over...good luck everyone, and if it IS over, congrats to those who made it through!!!!

I'm pretty bummed that I didn't get the email. I would have loved to be a part of the moms panel. I wonder how they choose.
