We're back!! I met Jess for 5 minutes this morning at the Boardwalk before Magical Express picked us up! I have to run and make dinner; hope to be back later. I haven't read back; forgive me!

Caro, it was at least 80 degrees here. At Jake's game it went from being warm one second to a wave of cool air. It was the strangest thing and all of us sitting in the row of chairs just looked at each other and said that it's cold all of a sudden. Odd, very odd.

I'm hanging in there. Thanks, Teo. DH is stuck in Dubai for a couple of days because of a dust storm (either there or in Iraq), so I don't know when I'm going to be able to talk to him again. I had to tell him to stop texting me because it costs $2.50 per message.

My dad's surgery went well this morning - he has 7 stitches and they're confident they got out all the cancer. They only had to dig once.

I'm going out with my BFF tomorrow and I think I'm getting another tattoo. On my foot. I'm a little scared, but I figure it can't possibly hurt more than my lower back did!

Thats good news about your dad. I hate you had to worry about this on top of your DH leaving the other day.

He does have his laptop, which is our main form of communication when he's gone, but he needs to find a free WiFi and I don't think they know what free is in Dubai. It'll be ok, it's like he's an astronaut and we're on radio silence. Or something.

I think if I manage to get through all of this without an ulcer I'm going to be ok! Every time my family brings up quitting smoking I just laugh like a crazy woman. I think they're going to try to get me committed.

It's ok, I did a very quick blurb this morning about it. He had (has?) basal cell carcinoma on his nose. The bump had been there since the summer and he kept ignoring it until we badgered him enough to go to the dermotologist. She took it off right away and biopsied it and confirmed it was basal cell carcinoma. So he had the surgery this morning and all is well right now.
