Home again...went to a friend's birthday party...came back home.

11 years Caro...I think that's the "play on the computer in different rooms" aniversary

That is no fun when the birthday party turns out that way. That's why we stopped doing parties like that and started just inviting specific kids, with me talking to the parents and securing the yeses myself by calling or going to see them. We'd just have between 1 and 3 special friends that usually we did something with.........Medieval times, six flags, build a bear..........

Poor Kathryn. She had her birthday party today at a ceramics painting place. We invited 6 girls plus Kathryn and Alana. Only 1 girl showed up and she was 1/2 hour late. I felt so bad for Kathryn, she was close to tears. She kept looking out the door looking for people. I just don't understand people. We didn't even get RSVP's from people except for the one that showed up. She had been so excited about the party and then was so down. Andrew, the other girls Mom and I ended up painting too.
ETA- Her "best friend" just called. I told her we missed her at the party, her response was 'yeah, I'm sorry. I had to go somewhere.' I just told her I'd let Kathryn know she called.

My heart hurts for her. I have so been there. Hugs and a belated Happy Birthday to her.
