DS5 enjoyed the Pirate Cruise (departing GF) during our last family stay. The girls have their tea parties, but what other adventure out there would you recommend for boys?

fishing!! my ds LOVED the fishing excursion from the yacht club..

any arcade!

kids' club!

the new pirate room at world of disney... barber shop on main street for some colored gel and pixie dust... renting tandem bikes or water mice (obviously with an adult)... petting zoo at ft wilderness... family tour at MK (the one w/peter pan, don't know the name of it)...

at the barber shop? a boy can get a haircut complete w/colored gel (in the shape of a mickey on the back of his head if he'd like) and a sprinklin' of pixie dust for about $15 (if i remember correctly)... ds was thrilled!

I want my nephew to be able to go on the Pirate Cruise but I am very worried of allowing him to go alone with strangers (yes even Disney CMs I'm a worrier ;) ) especially on the water. I have a 12 year old cousin who will be there with us and I would fell much better if they went together...is he too old for the cruise?

from all that i've read, yes, 12yo is "too old" but imo it's up to the individual child (if he goes w/the attitude of babysitter, that might be helpful, kwim?)

also, my kids *LOVE* the fishing excursions... last year they did one out of the yacht club and it was the absolute highlight of the trip for dd10 and ds8... although there's an "age limit" (of twelve) imo you're never too "old" to fish... (we also chose it over pirate adventure because there is no lunch served and ds has severe nut allergies and on the pirate cruise they serve pb&j for lunch)

I've seen the Mickey Mark on a few heads before, but I never quite figured out where they got them. Maybe we'll check it out for the 4th of July!

Also, I did find out that the boys can get the same thing (Mickey) at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I believe it's less than $15 for him to get 'made up.'

The albtross cruise is actully posted at the yaht club for being form ages 6-12 the problem is you have to call the yaht club to verify it. My 3 children went in march my oldest ds(12) and loved it they spoiled him rotten my dd8 who feels oh so much more grown up then her older brother said she actually liked it more than the pirate cruise at the floridian. She said they had to find more pirate:
