Do you have any stories to share? My younger son arranged to buy 100 lb of weights from a place not far from here. But we live on the edge of wilderness and it was a little unnerving driving the back roads near our subdivision.
We came across a house that was a rancher and you could see the whole house and into it from the street. I looked in as I was looking for the address and was shocked to see a "hoarding" house for lack of a better term. I mean, it was a disaster and the owners were standing in it for all the world to see.
Not far away we came to the house we were looking for and it was like a million dollar home! We brought the weights and had to walk through the whole house to get down to the weight room. We must have bought the last thing in that spacious home. It must have been for sale.

My parents own a vacation rental that I list on Craigslist for them since they're not much into computers. The replies come to my e-mail address and I help screen the people. I answer their questions about the place and check the dates they want to see if they're available. If they want to rent, I have them call my mom and she handles the rest.

I got one e-mail last fall that I thought was kind of weird. It said something like:

"I want to rent your vacation home on xx dates. I want you to e-mail me and tell me if those dates are available. I want you to send me this e-mail today before 5:00 p.m. I want you to tell me how much it costs with the tax and cleaning fee. Don't forget that I want you to e-mail me before 5:00 p.m. today. If you don't e-mail me in time, I will rent another place and that is a promise."

The message just kept saying I want, I want, I want and then ended with some wimpy little threat. Too bad the dates he wanted were already taken. He's probably the kind of guy who would steal the dishes anyway!

Craigslist provides me with oodles of entertainment. Especially from the loonies who answer my occassional posting.
