Adventures by Disney - points plus cash?

We're buying DVC this week.

One of the things we'd really like to do sometime is the ABD London/Paris trip. However, with banking and borrowing, we'd never have enough points to pay for that in a year. Can you use points for one person and pay cash for the other?

I actually saw the answer to your question on the DVC Operations Board. That's what prompted me to ask about ABD. I just thought this was probably the better board to ask the question. (Maybe not.)
