Too bad the research question wasn't -- which do you prefer?:
more dining and shopping choices, or more/improved adult oriented activity on PI. (Afterall, they could have done both, which would have been a great improvement.)
But they probably just asked if guests wanted more dining and shopping experiences. They did not bother to mention they were taking away to give more of what is already out there. And not Disney owned to boot, and not even unique.

Can you believe the positively glowing, anticipation comments on this? For a mall? Some people can be spoon fed anything as long as it says Disney.

They started posting more comments...and it's more of the same. Majority paractically begging for the return of the AC. It's just poor business management to ignore and turn your back on consumer demand like this.

I could live with the loss of EVERYTHING else on PI. Even the Comedy Warehouse (which my wife and I LOVED!)...but seeing AC shut down caused almost physical pain. It was uniquely Disney...heck, it was unique, period. We LOVED that place. It was a huge part of our vacation experience, especially before we had kids (only a couple sporadic visits after)...and now that the kids are old enough to visit the "clubhouses", it's gone.

I miss it, terribly.

I posted my 2 cents on their blog. I hope it has an effect. I suspect Disney has made their mind up about this, and won't revisit it, but I sincerely hope that suspicion turns out wrong.

When I posted on the blog yesterday afternoon it was at 117, but by the time mine got through it was into the 130's. As long as that blog is open, I'd hope folks who were into PI would keep posting, whether they're for the AC or any other venue from the former Island.

It's a shame that TDO has revised the Fantasy Land expansion several times over, yet PI's redux hasn't received as much coverage (or leaked plans) that includes a "whoops, what were we thinking?" backpedaling to include some late night adult (yet family, as many of us still are part of one) entertainment. But it seems they were pretty much set on shuttering the place from years back, with the removal of turnstyles, and gradual remodel of the Island.

The folks of the AC seem to appreciate the outpouring of support still. Just seeing them at ConGaloosh, I was able to gage how much they still miss the place, and the family they were a part of there (and still are). Can't speak for them, but the Club and PI will never, ever be forgotten.
