I am not sure what to do for our trip in August. We are a family of 5 (3 considered adults and 2 children). If I go the Magic your way for 6 day PH with Premium (PH plus Plusses) it would be $1,342. If we go AP for all of us it would be $1,397 (including DVC discount).

So the question, are the any discounts at other disney hotels/resturants/shops etc. with the AP that would make it worth while to buy the AP.

The other option is to buy a 5 day PH now for all and the total would be $1,127 we have a plus from previous tickets.

We do not think we would use the AP twice because in 2006 we wanted to go to HH.

Thanks

Sharon

there are resturants, hotels discounts - shops too.

but don't buy it for that. but you won't use the best - hotel discount if you aren't going back.

go get your 5 day hopper.

Hotwire Savings club or Ticketmania Specials through Mousesavers?

I agree with Spicey. I would get the Park Hopper Pass before they stop selling them.

Hotwire has a 5 day with 2 Plus for $248.27 Adult and 199.38 for child. That would total $1143.57 for the 5 of you. You would also have the no expiration feature and 2 plusses to use later.

Is there a fee required to join this club?

When the price of something is as close as it is with your choices then buy what is best for you and forget the price.

Just my .02, but if your vaccation plans have a tendency to change sometimes, I'd go with the APs. Sure, the cost is a little bit more, but if your plans to change to accomodate a 2nd WDW trip, you'd be kicking yourself. Think of it as another form of trip insurance ;) :cool1:

(and yes, this is what my DH calls "that crazy Disney math")

LOL!!! We have the same math skills TarraLee. Our first trip down, I bought a 5 day hopper. We used two days and two months later converted to APs. I know we are lucky in living close enough to drive down a few times a year, but I love knowing that I only have to bite that bullet once a year and then I can go as often as I want! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

You might also want to consider buying the 10 day pass and adding all the plusses that you want to it including the never expire feature. It is a really good deal and would allow you return trips later at a much discounted rate. (well - free actually ;) since you will have already paid for them lol but you know what I mean)
