Advantage Rental Car, Have You Used Them Lately Out of MCO?

Rates still sky high for an upcoming spring trip, despite plugging in all the 'hot' codes/coupons with major rental car providers out of MCO.

I'd never normally consider Advantage, but their rates have been coming in at least 70% less than their competition.

Appears they have moved into the terminal & based upon the few less than stellar but dated reviews I could find (elsewhere) they are now owned by Hertz

I don't mind a car with higher mileage and possibly a few dings (naturally will take pictures & note before I would leave the lot & indicate on rental agreement) but find it odd to not see mention of Advantage here in recent postings.

Last thing i would want is to be broke down on side of road and not get a prompt response to make it right, no matter how great of a deal KWIM?

I just came to ask the exact same thing and saw your post. Sorry no answers for you, but I can give you a bump at least. I may book with them as a back up and hope rates drop as we get closer. I saw the same reviews as you, but in fairness, every single one of the car companies at MCO has good and awful reviews. I want to stick to the big names like I usually do, but in a pinch I'd be willing to try Advantage I think, because being Canadian our exchange rate is atrocious right now and I'm just not paying the equivalent of $400 for a midsize car.

I agree re reviews all over place for the rental car companies. Just don't see many nor recent for Advantage. Most complaints I saw were fact it was off site (now in terminal) and upsell issues (which i expect, especially when renting from a company for the first time when not in their system yet as to preferances via reward programs).

Not seeing more than 10% discount codes bouncing around. Going to sign up for emails, hoping offers might be forthcoming.
