I seem to remember seeing in a previous post that typically Disney resort rooms are assigned about 3 days in advance of your arrival.
This being the case,is there any possibility of actually choosing ones room ?
(I'm going to Pop in January).
thanks

You can make your requests through CRO. Also when we got to our resort we made some requests that were honored. I don't know if that would happen again but it did at the Yacht club and the AKL.
Most of your requests are not a sure thing.

Don't be too specific or you may not get what you want. Prioritize your requests. You will do better if you request an area rather than a certain room number. Call central reservations and have your requests noted in your reservation.

I read on another website that they recommend faxing a request 4 days prior to arrival.
Is this better than phoning central reservations?
and if phoning in ,does it matter how much in advance?
Thanks

Many of the resorts are no longer accepting faxes - you should be sure to note it on your reservation.

Most of the resorts are ignoring faxes. It doesn't matter how far in advance you phone in your requests.

I have heard of more people having better luck with central reservations than with a fax.
