i took ap bio in 1995-1996. i really liked it a lot, though i think a lotf o the enjoyment you'll get from it depends on the individual teacher (i really liked mine). i got a 4 on the AP and was able to use the credits to get out of science in college or i could have used it as elective credit.

i say go for it.
