Call me dense, but I really don't get how you can check in a week ahead of time if you're not there! To me, check in means you're there!

With online check-in, you add in your credit card info and pin codes for charging to your account so that you don't have to do it at the Front Desk. There are areas to request room location and any other needed amenities. With this being complete, all you have to do is get your Room # once you reach your resort. And, then hope your MagicBand opens the room door.

I have never been able to just take what they give me when I have done this on-line, and that line takes just as much time as the general line most of the time because there is often only 1 person for that line while many CMs are checking in guests in the regular lines.

In my experience, it has cost us time when we have done this, so we stopped. On our trip last week, a CM tried to check us in using her iPad. What a disaster. Complete waste of our time - had to redo everything later.

These new "time saving" things have not saved us any time when checking in.

Thanks everyone! New question.... We have two reservations linked together...my daughter went in and checked in her and her husband but can't check in my husband and I. Did we get checked in when they did?! She is the main reservation and we were pulled into hers.

Check your MDE account. If it notes online check-in, then you should enter all your info. Unless, of course, your daughter is taking care of all your charges?

There were two "Check in on line" boxes before now there is only one. When we click that it still brings up her name. I'm thinking a phone call should be made!!

That would be best. Better to call than to have to undo things when you arrive! Good luck!

Call was a success! Since we were "pulled in" and not the primary, we had to go to another site! All checked in! Zip A Dee Do Dan!!
