When/Where should I buy my tickets? We are going early June for one day and hopping between both parks. AAA does not offer discounted one day tickets so I was thinking about just getting them when we arrive at the park. Is that a big mistake? Will the line to get the tickets be bad?

You should still purchase the tickets ahead of time. You will save valuable time by not having to stand in the ticket lines...especially since you're doing one day. I would purchase from the Universal website and either choose print at home or electronic pickup. With the print at home, you can print out the tickets at home and take them directly to the gate. Or...Will Call kiosk pickup is easy too. You need your credit card and confirmation number for the transaction. Your tickets would print there and then you can go directly to the gate. There's rarely a line and shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
