Advance Park Reservations?

Universal Studios announces re- open today for ticket holders in California requiring Advance Reservation.... Do you think this will ever be required at USFlorida?
I went to CityWalk Thursday 4/15 just to sit at Starbucks, eat Voodoo Donut and watch guests arriving (non-stop) ... Also walked around new store and Legacy Store .I could not get resort reservations Sold Out but did not see any lines forming outside the theme park entry. I have seen those lines forming last holiday season ....
Anyway I vote No for park reservations at Universal... keep it old school Uni!
I did just book Dockside 2 bedroom pool side with AP discount so it will be first time if I don’t cancel. Hard Rock and Cabana Bay did not show upwith availabilty.

Universal Orlando has been running for months now without requiring reservations and I guess it is working for them. They just shut down entry for guests not staying onsite if they hit whatever capacity goal they have set.

I find it odd that WDW is like that with the discounts, Disneyland gave them. ( this was of course before they discontinued annual passes) - my refund went to Universal
