Advance Dining Res. ??

Just curious whether DLR makes dining reservations 60 days in advance, or 2 calendar months in advance. In the past, for both WDW and DLR, I am 99.9% certain it was 60/90 days in advance. I called to make some ADRs today and the woman told me it was two calendar months, not 60 days. Really?

I made reservations 60 days in advance for BB and then I got there and they had lost my reservation!! I was really mad because it was for my moms birthday so luckily they got me in anyway and even got a waterside table

I've learned to pay attention to confirmation numbers due to the length of time in advanced reservations

When you call in it says "60 days" on the automated recording.... Also everyone on these boards says "60 days".... But it IS actually 2 months... I don't think anyone realizes there is a difference!

Well with February only having 28 days you could call around February 14-16. What most people don't think about is the 30 days is not the same every month so it's usually plus a day. Like if you were to be going to BB on June 24th you would make your reservations sometime around May 25-26th

If you call on Feb 15 for a April 16 reservation the CM's won't make the reservation even though it is 60 days. Likewise, if you want the June 24th reservation you can make it on May 25th or 26th, but you could have made it on May 24th, since they actually work on a 2 month calendar instead of a 60 days calendar. It's easier for them to do the math than have them try and figure out how many days in a month.

hmmmm - wow that whole 60 day/ 2 calendar months thing really confuses me - I know I had to call twice when I made my ressies for March - I thought it was 60 days from the first day of your trip - like WDW - but turns out this isnt the case......

I didn't even know the 2 calendar months. Which doesn't make sense when I think back to making my PS for September of last year. I called 60 days out for each fo the 4 days we were doing our meals and I was able to. And it was more than 2 calendar months.

Most of the time 2 months out is 61 or 62 days. So if you were waiting 60 days for a september reservation you were within the 2 calendar months timespan.

So say you wanted a Sept 15 reservation... If you waited til 60 days before your reservation then you would have called on July 16th. You could have called on July 15the for that same reservation (not that it made a difference... unless you wanted the first reservation and someone else got it because they called the day before you did ).

In my case it is the opposite of usual - I am making reservations for March. So for March 27th, I should be able to make them on January 26th (60 days), but I was told I have to wait until the 27th. I am certain that this was not the way it worked last time I did this (last summer) . . . or am I crazy?

And yes, it's a pain to have to call back every day for DLR - much easier when WDW will let you plan your whole week on the first day!

?? I made reservations on this last Saturday (1/23) for 3 different meals, one on 3/22, one on 3/23, and one on 3/24. Maybe it all depends on which operator you get? Cause if I am understanding y'all right, at the very least I shouldn't have been able to do the one on 3/24 on 1/23.

Yea you shouldn't have been able to book it.. I'd call and double check your reservations!
