Advance DC UPH or Check-In UPH ????

I can't decide if I should get our UPH tickets in advance packaged with the room (with my DC discount) for our 8 night trip, or just get the UPHs upon check-in (no discount, but they knock off a day, which we will not need). Has anyone else tried to make this decision? I was told if you get the tickets in advance with the DC discount, you can not get the first/last day taken off.

I guess I really want to know if they still will take off one day of the UPH when you check in, if you tell them you're traveling early the first/last day and will not need it. Has anyone had this done recently when they checked in? With all the changes involving advance ticketing, I wasn't sure.

Yes, they will still do this at the resort.
