Me and my DH will be going to DW in December for the first time. In the past we have always had my niece with us--so I did not feel strange waiting for a picture with a character.

I know Disney is for kids--I am almost 40 and it make me feel like I am 5 again. I would really like to get my picture with few of the characters dressed for Christmas. Please tell me there are other adults that want their picture take with some of the characters. I am also curious if parents with kids get irritated with adults waiting for their pictures.

We always get our pictures taken are we are adults. Who cares what other parents think!!!

If you want your picture taken - do it! Don't worry about what others think. They only time I've gotten annoyed is when a couple pushed in front of my two girls (2 and 4 at the time - and at the back of the line) to meet Belle and Beast b/c they stated they didn't want to miss them before they went inside again (this was at Epcot).

No it's not! Disney is for everyone! If it was for kids then there would be no need for us to go. I don't have any kids and I've been going for years.

I love getting my picture taken with the characters. My husband and I both got super excited on our Honeymoon last December to have our pictures taken with characters.

There have been a few times that parents tried to push their kids in front of me but the CMs were very nice and made sure I got my turn with the characters. You will see lots of adults without children getting their pictures taken with characters.

At first I always feel a little silly but it is so much fun. If I see Mushu I'm almost going to run to him!

I Still do it Im 30 . I Dont Feel Weird at All . There are People of All Ages Wanting that "Special Moment" With a Character Doesnt matter if your 8 or 68 :goodvibes Go for it

Get your picture taken with whoever you want! We're a family of adults and we still track down characters and enjoy spending time with them just as much as everyone else. Age doesn't matter in WDW (unless you're buying tickets ;) ) lol

Of course, if a princess starts talking to me like a 10 year old, then I have a problem....:rotfl2:

OK--I'm going to do it. I really don't like getting my picture taken, but there is something about getting your picture taken with you favorite character makes it all worth it.:banana:

Disney is not just for kids. It's for any one who wants to enjoy it, regardless of their age, so if you want to get your pictures taken with the characters, do it. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

The characters know that many adults enjoy their movies too, and I believe (and former CMs have confirmed) that the characters really enjoy meeting adults who appreciate the character for their hard work in becoming the character every day as opposed to putting on a costume when they come to work.

As a child I comprehended that there was a person in a costume. I was grateful they did that, but as an adult I now comprehend that the person in the costume has put in a lot of effort to become that character. It's so much fun for me to see how they bring the character to life.

Disney is for kids of ALLLLLL ages!!! Get your picture with the characters-go for it and have a wonderful time!

Absolutely, have your pictures taken with the characters :goodvibes Last August, my then 26 year old daughter and I went down to Disney by ourselves. We were a bit doubtful as to how the characters would interact with just two grown-ups :scratchin Well, I am thrilled to say we were given wonderful attention by all the characters :yay: This year my two DD, 27 and 28, and I went again and had the same reactions :) We met some friends we had not seen since they moved to Florida (another mother daughter team) and we all went to see the fairies and princesses :woohoo: I even had both daughters use autograph books so I could use them for my scrapbooking :rolleyes1 The fairies, Tinker Bell :tink: in particular, gave us an incredible amount of time and some hilarious interactions and poses :rotfl: For your information, there are individual PhotoPass photographers for each character at Pixie Hollow, Epcot's Character Spot and the Princesses so we got some amazing photos :cloud9: So, forget your age and go for it :) Here is some pixiedust: to get you in the mood!

I am in my 50's and I still get my picture taken with the characters. DH even had his taken with the characters at Chef Mickey this past June. :)

It never crossed my mind that adults shouldn't get a picture with a character. Where else am I going to see a Power Ranger?? We go out of our way to always get photos with characters, especially if we haven't gotten that one before. I've never noticed a difference in interaction when it's a kid or an adult. That's one of the things I love about Disney - the characters treat EVERYONE with respect. They don't just go "yeah an adult - snap it and move along." They'll take as much time to interact with me as with my daughter.

That's the Disney magic in action! :wizard:

There is nothing wrong with adults meeting the characters. I have my website of all my character pictures in my sig. Go ahead, and have fun! :)

When my son was asleep during our trip, I did some pix with characters! The day I did it by myself was also my birthday, so I got birthday "kisses" and extra attention because of it! :woohoo: Besides, everyone needs a pic of themselves with their favorite character and Mickey Mouse! Life just wouldn't be complete without those pix! :wizard:

I've been on 2 adults only trips and had loads of character pictures taken both times at character meals and in the parks.

I am in my mid thirties and DH and I are kidless at the moment. We have no qualms about getting pictures with the characters. We always do at least one character meal per trip.

im not afraid to get my picture taken with the characters!! i totally have the CM's take my pics with the characters ... especially at the villians mix n' mingle during the MNSSHP! Thats my absolute FAVORITE THING!!

It has been my experience that characters seems to take a shine to adult guests. If anything, they seem to reaaly get cute as far as what they do for interactions.

At CRT, we got lots of attention from characters, especially the Fairy Godmother. One year, we had our pics taken with Chip and Dale and Chip noticed my sister's lanyard that had lots of Chip and Dale pins on it..he then looked at mine, which didn't have any at that point, and pretended to cry! It was adorable. What was even cuter was the following day at Garden Grill-I think it was the same Chip, because he recognized us..looked at my lanyard that now had a couple of Chip and Dale pins, and gave me kiss on the cheek.:lmao:

I agree with what PPs have said... everyone should be able to have time with the characters! Get your picture taken, interact with them and have fun! Don't worry about what others will think, chances are there will be lots of guests sans-kids that will be doing the same thing!!! :goodvibes
