I know 'Ohana is a family style restaurant and popular with families. Would DH and I feel out of place there? Or should we just stick with Kona?

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

DH and I went by ourselves a couple years ago. The only issue we had with it was that they seated us right where they start all the races etc... Very bad place to seat a couple!!!!! We had parents leaning over us to take pictures and bumping into us. My DH almost lost it!!!! Oh... and a hoola hoop landed on our table LOL
The food also was not very good when we went there. Now we are thinking of giving them another chance since that happens everywhere. But we were not all that thrilled.

We had almost he same experience last year. That being said, we did like the place very much. This year we are going to request one of the tables away from the main floor. Perhaps by the windows. We will be more than willing to wait a bit longer for one to become available!

We just got back from WDW on Sept 8th. We ate at both O'hana's and Kona's and would recommend Kona's hands down. We have eaten there before as well and both the food and service were great. Unfortunatly, the same cannot be said for O'hana's.

DH and I don't have kids and did this earlier this year. We loved O'Hana so much we're going again in Dec. The food is wonderful and it was really fun. I even got up and did the hula. You won't be out of place at all.

my mom and i went as two adults and we loved it. we were seated right at the window with a perfect view of the castle. maybe ask for a table near the windows, then you won't have to worry about parents getting in the way to take pictures. but i would definitely recommend it. very good.

DH and I ate here on Saturday 9/14. We had a late seating at 8:45pm. There were more adults there than kids (but still plenty to participate in the coconut races!) We had a table by the windows and had a great view of Wishes. It was actually quite romantic! The food was delicous and we would go back in a heartbeat. We did not feel out of place at all!

We were just there a few weeks ago. I would suggest waiting for a seat by the window. The food was great but we were stuck by all of the activities.

We would definitely go again and just wait for window seating.

I agree with everyone suggesting asking for a table near the window or more specifically a little bit away from the games. My DBF loved the food and the atmosphere, and we are kid-less. Go, enjoy, and have a great meal. Be sure to save room for dessert!! ;)

If you want to enjoy your meal...skip 'Ohana. It's noisy and the food isn't that great.

DW and I love to go there without kids. Before DS's came along, we would go there quite often by ourselves. We didn't feel out of place at all.

We've gone both as just adults (well, DD was there, but only a speck at the time!) and with DD. It's been great both ways.

We didn't feel out of place either last year or this year when we went for breakfast. Food was good. First platter was cold but then I was late while my friend had already gone early to get the table... And I got a fresh platter. We were next to the aisle but didn't have the problem of pesky parents leaning over us or hula hoops....

So far, it seems to be a "tradition" to do Ohana the first day we're there.....

I've not done lunch or dinner so can't comment there....
