My 19-year-old daughter and I will be at DW next month. We are diehard Disney fans, and this is our first trip to DW (DLR vets). I'm guessing the character breakfasts greatly cater to the guests with children. Do they pretty much ignore the adults-only tables or would we get some fun photo ops, too? Any recommendations of one over the other for breakfast?

Thanks!

No guest is missed when the characters make the rounds! Young or old, it will be magical for every age. :wizard:

I have traveled with my DH and my college age son, we've done character meals, and enjoyed the interaction every time!

Have a great time!

My hubby and I love character breakfasts at Donalds and every other year we go solo........they come over and crack us up .......and besides I love the food

DH & I always do a character meal every stay at WDW. By DH's choice we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace and I have the best pictures of us with all the characters - especially my buddy Eeyore. For our 20th wedding anniversary we went to the Cinderella character meal at the Grand Floridian and absolutely loved it. We weren't the only couples without kids there either. Enjoy!! :santa:

DH, DS (18 at that time) and I got lots of attention at the Cape May breakfast buffet. I think the characters enjoy messing with adults as much as the kids sometimes! :)

My husband and I dine at the Crystal Palace ever year we go to Disney so that I can have breakfast with my favorite characters. We have never been ignored and the characters have always stopped and posed for pictures with us--together and individually. It was my 50th birthday trip this year and they saw the birthday decorations on the table and gave me extra hugs and claps.

I go to Cape May Cafe at the Beach club EVERY trip and I love it. We are always a group of adults 2-8 of us from ages 31-87 and we love the photos, autographs. I can't say enough

Dorothy C is a server there - she is the best of the best and will make sure she takes pictures if you need be so its not just 1 person with the character. I always request her she is worth the wait!!

Have a great time!!

I love doing character dining because I mess with the characters. All they get all day long are kids who want a picture and autograph. I start asking minnie why Mickey hasn't committed and tell her he was playing with field mice at Mannequins. They love it!

My wife and I visit Cape May each trip. The characters always stop at our table for some great photos. Plus, the food's pretty good.

My DSis and I always do character breakfasts. We are 37 & 39. Earlier this month we did Tusker House & Cape May. I felt the characters were rushed at Tusker House. At Cape May they took there time with us.

We have also done Crystal Palace, Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern.

DH and I recently had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I was up at the buffet, waiting for a slice of raisin bread to toast, when I suddenly heard a shrill "RITA" being shouted. I quickly popped my raisin bread out of the toaster and started back to my table, when I heard another shrill "RITA".

It was the Mad Hatter calling for me. He was at our table and I wasn't there. He and my husband were talking and the Mad Hatter asked what my name was.

The two of us also had breakfast at Donald's Breakfast Safari. Lots of nice interaction with the characters.

Back in May 2006 we were at the Cape May Cafe breakfast with friends, and Minnie was just all over my friend, Tim.

They don't ignore the adult only tables.

I'm an adult, and I've gone by myself to Crystal Palace, CRT, Liberty Tree Tavern, Akershus, Garden Grill, and 1900 Park Fare. I've also gone to Chef Mickey's with just my mom.

All the times I've gone I've gotten very good character interaction, and some very memorable moments. Though some characters do seem to interact more then others, I think that's because of how they are, and not because I'm an adult.

Definatly go to the character meals, they are so much fun! And, if you're open to suggestions, I highly recommend the breakfast at Crystal Palace, which features Pooh and friends.

My wife and I have gone to Cape May for breakfast and Garden Grill for dinner and were nowhere near neglected. The characters at Garden Grill actually spent more time with us than with many of our neighboring tables. I think part of it depends on the character and how interactive you are. We had fun with them beyond just taking pictures, so they stuck around a little longer. The characters at Cape May were also a lot of fun (and I personally love that I get to draw on the "tablecloth").

I am in college and my girlfriends and I ate at Chef Mickey last year on our first night. We were definitely not skipped in fact I think Mickey spent more time with us giggling and acting shy and Donald wouldn't stop kissing us! The family at the table next to us was actually getting jealous I think! haha

We've done a few (all adults) Chef Mickey, Donald's, 1900 Park & Crystal Palace. They're all good. One suggestions is to pick one according to the characters you want to see.

My sis and I are both in our 20's and we love character dining. It doesn't matter how old you are the characters will stop for photos, autographs and just in general to interact. I always have fun interacting with the characters. I am sure you and your DD will have a great time at any character meal you choose.

DH and I also do the character meals :) I love them. We have never felt out of place or ever been ignored by the characters. In fact a lot of the time the restaurant will have lots of other adults without children. I love character meals because it is a good way to get photos and autographs without having to wait in line. :)

1) No guest or guest table is ignored, unless that is what you want.
2) Anyway, isn't taking the kids the excuse so us adults can go?

Kids? We didn't even think about kids...
(Unless you want to call us both 40 year old kids) :hippie:
We had a blast at our 1st character breakfast, next trip we'll do at least two
