I seriously hope this doesn't start an arguement, but I was wondering...When you eat at buffets, they often have a selection of foods obviously for "kids" (in case they didn't like the other offers, no doubt) of things like mac and cheese, pizza slices, chicken fingers etc. I know that adults shouldn't order kids meals, but are they entitled to eat this obvious kid's fare at buffets? For example, if SO and I go to Boma, and he doesn't like the adventurous selections, can he feel free to graze on the kiddy foods, or is that a Disney dining faux pas?

At buffets anyone can eat any of the food, meaning adults have full access to kids food, and kids to adult food. You just pay by age, not by the kind of food that you eat. I love macaroni and cheese, so I always try at all the buffets.....

Well I know I've always done it! LOL! Got to love some mac and cheese and those tiny hot dogs with the tiny buns! I don't see the problem, you are paying full adult price. I'm sure the powers that be would love to see all adults pay full price and only eat the mac and cheese and hot dogs!

I also always let my kids eat from the "adult" selections at a buffet if they care to. So go and enjoy! I promise you you won't be the only adult doing the same thing.

You can eat it. You better believe I was scooping mac and cheese from Boma and plopping it on my plate. They don't mind at all!

I would think that at a buffet, an adult may choose from any of the foods, just as I believe a child may select something that is "adult" fare. I have dined at Chef Mickey's and Cape May Cafe several times and witnessed adults choosing items from the children's section many a time. I didn't give it a second thought, however they could have just been getting a plate of food for their child as well as themselves. If your friend (SO) enjoys chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, or mickey waffles, I'd say go for it!

I have done it too at Boma!! I am very picky and I tried a lot of different food, but I needed something to finish filling me up. That and the desserts of course!

And for 24.99 I better be intitled to that mac and cheese.

Yes you are entitled to the mac and cheese at a buffet. Of course at $24.99, Disney is more than happy to see you eating that mac and cheese.

They sometimes put fried shrimp on the "children's buffet" at Cape May Clambake, and you'd better believe I eat it!! :p

If you aren't convniced so far, look at it this way: How do they know you aren't a mom filling up your kid's plate?

It's 100% ok! I love mac and cheese and always get some!! lol

Myst

Absoultely!! Both my kids still eat from the "kid's" area, and hubby and I have been known to take some stuff from there too. They keep all areas pretty well stocked, so not to worry!

Enjoy!!

Go, eat what you want, and be happy!

I know you asked about Boma, but at the Crystal Palace they had chicken fingers, hot dogs, and pizza. Yum, yum, yum! :)
