In January 2005, my DM, 2 Dsis, DNiece, DD5, and myself had lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby. My 2 sisters, and my niece aren't very adventurous when it comes to food, so they didn't really want to order anything off the adult's lunch menu. I, also, wasn't very hungry, and didn't want a large meal. (You may wonder why we went to HBD?-My DM
really wanted the Cobb Salad!)
We asked our server (sorry, forgot name-Michael or Manuel?

) if adults could order off the kid's menu. He said it was no problem, we could order whatever we wanted. He even volunteered that we could order a double, or triple order, of a kid's meal, if we wanted. We all ordered the kid's chicken (with exception of my niece, who ordered an appetizer-Coconut Shrimp (2) with minted bean thread noodles, citrus soy dipping sauce and Thai Basil $8.00) and decided to just order the single serving, and if we were still hungry, to order more. But even though the chicken breast, red potatoes, and green beans wasn't a large portion, we found that with the bread and butter served with the meal, we were fine. Also, left room later for a snack! Since it was made for kids, the chicken was a little bland, but after dipping it in my niece's citrus dipping sauce (which our CM offered to bring more if we wanted) it was very good!
So, long story short, an adult can order off the kid's menu. (At least we did) The only difference was that we didn't get our beverage included, but that was fine with us.
If you are on
DDP, the advice above would work well-we've done DDP 3 x's now, and have shared many a meal.
Enjoy!
