We've been lots without the kids, and the last several years when we have brought them along, there is usually a day or two that we do the parks with them, then they go to the parks without us and they hang out in the room in the evenings and get room service, go down and watch the movie, etc. Our typical adult day goes like this: 1. Wake up whenever - no alarm. If the kids are with us, we feed them something light in the room and push them out the door toward the monorail or bus stop and say "have fun". 2. Eat a nice breakfast wherever we want and take our time without being reminded how many rides we've missed because we are eating at a sit down restaurant. 3. Spend the day at the resort pool, typhoon lagoon or blizzard beach - or if going to a park, EPCOT usually - especially if it is F&W time. 4. Back to the room to take a nap about 3:30 - 4:00 so we can stay up late. 5. Nice dinner that does not involve chicken nuggets and fries. 6. This is where it gets interesting. We almost always end up at a bar at one of the Deluxe resorts. AKL is one of our favorites because we like to sit in the rocking chairs with a drink and watch the animals before it gets dark, then see them again with the night vision goggles. Or the Poly always is a great place for drinks, as is the Grand Floridian. But sometimes the Outer Rim bar is the mood we are in. Sometimes at the Contemporary, I'll even sneak into the arcade for a minute while my DW shops. If we are in a more energetic mood, we will go to Downtown Disney (not calling it Disney Springs). Or - now that our oldest is 18, we will drive off-site (gasp!!) for dinner and spend the evening at a wine bar in Winter Park, or see a play, etc. 7. Rinse and repeat.
